For this 2d logo animation project, my client was entering a short film into a UK film festival. She needed a custom logo animation for an existing film logo and she had a fully developed concise final vision ready to jump onto the screen.

This client did not have a final vision for this logo animation project. The time to develop the final visoin was minimal because the name of the company coupled with the brand colors pointed in one direction. A blue laser reveal for the graphic and a slide reveal from a laser line for both lines of the logo text.

This 3D logo animation is one of my favorite sub categories of logo animation. DESTRUCTION! Based on the NDA I signed for this project I can only show the animation and describe the creation process. I used voronoi fractures and dynamic simulations in Cinema4d to fracture and animate the logo. I polished it with some heat distortion and optical flares inside of After Effects and composed the sound effects to match the action.

Originally, I created a 2d logo animation for this client from an existing static logo. Less than a year later, they wanted to upgrade to a 3D logo animation. I was given the rare opportunity to be unleashed with full creative freedom on this one. Inspired by the steam punk owl from the original Clash of the Titans this is what I came up with.
