We are delighted to announce that we will be attending the Kilmovee 10k in Kilmovee, Co Mayo. The Kilmovee 10k over the years has raised over €90,000 for the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation and Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA club. Having grown steadily, this is the first event since 2019 due to covid. However, the pandemic didn't stop the committee as they raised money to purchase facemasks for frontline workers in the local area providing over 13,000 to Gardai, nursing homes, civil defence and the Hospice staff....

Thousands of Irish households will be due a €100 one-off payment next month, the Government has confirmed. The payment - which makes up just over three weeks of the weekly €33 payment - will be paid to 372,000 recipients "in the middle of May", Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe has confirmed. The Government have confirmed that Fuel Allowance recipients will get the lump sum as part of a raft of new cost of living measures....

The Tom Clarke Bridge in Dublin – also more generally known as the East Link – is blocked in both directions this morning. Motorists are being urged to avoid the entire Dublin Port area. There are already knock-on effects across the east of the city. Hauliers protesting against skyrocketing fuel prices are staging a major demonstration in the capital. They have been travelling along routes into the city since early this morning and have blocked the bridge and other routes in the port area, Dublin City Council said. Also, a pedestrian march beginning at the GPO on O’Connell Street is also expected to take place later this morning.
