Tonight - Well this past weekend Jake and I loaded up the truck and headed to Redline Raceway - Kemp, Texas to let Jake make some passes in the truck and hop in a hard tire index class. We learn a few things - #1 I suck at teaching and have to do better and shutting up. #2 this truck is consistent. We also hang out with our good friends Chip Cox, Misty Cox, Jamie Murphy, Piston Jones, Kevin, James Purdy, and JR Rucker and Tim Garcia and a few others ran the tailgate class and it was 🔥🔥🔥. Well after we filled ourselves up with turkey, there was work to be done. Jake’s taking my truck racing this weekend and we need to solve some wheel hop issues. Chad from Squarebody Stuff made these spring limiters for me so we got them installed. Let’s hope my crappy welds hold up 🤣

Jake’s been so patient waiting to get this truck going. 3 years. Most kids would have lost interest but he is more about it now than ever. He’s been saving up his money to get the last couple of pieces we needed to get the engine and transmission in the truck. And with the help of Dave Elmoreand Karson Elmore we were able to get a big chunk of this done. Getting a small block in these trucks is a task but stuffing an LS in there is even worse. There is still a lot of work ahead but this was a giant leap in the right direction. Man Jake and I Ran out to check out the VW Race Texas VS the World and it was absolutely awesome! I used to go to these from time to time as a kid and I forgot how much fun they are! With over 100 cars in the show and 125-150 in the pits this was one hell of an event and I highly suggest you coming out to the next one ! Here’s just a snippet of what Texas VS The World has to offer!

Tonight 7:30 PM

Well it’s the last day with our good friends Chad Coen Squarebody Stuff and Heather from Squarebody Stuff​⁠. The weather is looking good so why don’t we load up Squeaky a 1978 C10 with a 305ci based 339 stroker and an SM459 4 spd (the fastest granny low 4 spd truck in the world) and Slick Rick and head out to XRP for some testing? And while we are there let’s hang out with some of the guys coming to the The Tailgate ThrowDown ! But like every track outing for us here at SCC there always seems to be a hurtle at the last minute and this time is no different. Our luck is, well, not so good but we fight through anyways. Dave Elmore ​⁠ Brings out his Full Suze Street truck (LS powered 1972 C10) to do some testing. Piston Jones​⁠ had The Moonshiner truck out there making some test hits and squares off with one of our Small tire trucks James Alexander (Stroker LS/Procharger assisted Squarebody) for one hell of a race, while Clay Smith tries to get a handle on all the horsepower in his beautiful black Squarebody truck. This is another video to get just a glimpse of what will be coming to Arkansas to Newport Raceway, Next month. Follow the page for more attached below. We had a damn good time hanging out with Chad and Heather from Squarebody Stuff this past weekend. And like always when you are having a good time it goes by like a blink and then it’s back to the grind. Hang on though we aren’t done! We went to the track Sunday night and hung out with some of the guys comin to the The Tailgate ThrowDown Public Page! I’m working on the video now and will be out early next week. We see Moonshiner Garage and the badass nitrous huffing, big block Chevy step side Moonshiner truck, Clay Smith and his absolutely beautiful badass Big Block nitrous breathing Squarebody, but that’s not all Dave Elmore brought out his 72 LS powered short bed and James Alexander brought out his rowdy Procharged LS powered Squarebody to boot ! Can squeaky get his best pass at the fastest track in Texas? You’re gonna have to watch and find out! The Tailgate Throwdown is right around the corner and it’s going to be out of control!

Sara, the boys and myself, spent the weekend hanging out with our good friends Chad and Heather from Squarebody Stuff YT channel at the Classic Truck Nationals 2024 with Shaun Settles and family! What an event! Best damn truck show I’ve been to probably ever. With over 600 trucks on the property ole Squeaky and Slick Rick teamed up and showed the world all their Squarebody goodness. While they were on display, we promoted the The Tailgate ThrowDown and it was all good! If you missed it don’t do it next year! Come check out a piece of what this event has to offer!
