Taking down Christmas today. Bah ha ha I had to take one more photo in front of our classic multicolored tree and my camera decided to make it look like I’m a magical fairy! I didn’t add the pixie dust! 😂😂😂

Do you remember when I was doing that thing where I would ask what you celebrated each week and share it in my videos. And then I fell off the face of the planet for the rest of the year? Well I think it’s because some days I felt like I couldn’t “celebrate” something. And so it didn’t feel genuine when I was having a hard time or having an anxiety attack. I have decided that I can have gratitude though. Even in the hardest moments. Justin told me that when I had a ruptured fallopian tube I wouldn’t stop saying thank you to everyone during every stage of the diagnosis and surgery. I was delirious but I was glad he shared that with me because things are going to get harder for all of us in the world. Mankind is not going to get kinder when they turn away from God and so what we’ve seen the past couple of years I think is just the beginning- BUT!

Jesus is coming. I just feel it, and I know we will find a lot of strength in our gratitude and faith in Him. President Nelson said in his talk ‘Overcome the World and Find Rest’ “Between now and the time He returns “with power and great glory,” He will bestow countless privileges, blessings, and miracles upon the faithful.”

If you have been wondering how to cope with the feelings that come with all the turmoil in the world, give that talk a listen. It was an answer to my prayer. In fact it was the exact words I used before conference. And hold tight. His promises are sure. Happy Monday!

Well Hello there!!! I’m back on Instagram after a very needed two month break. I was spending way too much time scrolling on here and the crazy tooktik. (Misspelled on purpose guys 🤪) I started making YouTube videos again which I have loved but I have really struggled knowing how to spend time on social media platforms that have seemed to shift from friends and family sharing to….ads ads ads. It’s all a bit much over time I think. But very glad I have a place where I can hop on and say Merry Christmas to you all! One day we will be on our game and have Christmas cards but for now, I hope this holiday season has been festive and full of times with good friends, neighbors, and family. Justin and I have felt grateful to have landed into such an amazing spot surrounded by good people with truly inspiring stories and lives. Even though this last year has been a whirlwind and I’ve gained so much weight from all the stress and stress eating ha ha- I am starting to feel so happy and optimistic for the future. Even despite all the terrible- why? Because I know people like you!!! All over the world- that have hope, and love, and do good for others. Thank you for inspiring me, and Merry Merry Christmas friends!!! 🎄 #🎄 #❄

Working on our vlog from Maine last year. It is 1 hour or footage so it is taking me forever! Ha ha. This is one of the places we visited in Acadia National Park. It’s been wild this year because I know that there are storms all along the East Coast. Please join me praying for those places who are experiencing storms- whether they be weather or the storms caused by evil decisions, let’s pray for our brothers and sisters all around the world!

Acadia National Park in Maine. One of the most beautiful national parks I have visited so far. If you want a place to visit this Fall I would definitely point you here. Beautiful fall leaves, hikes, carriage rides, lakes, and lots to do close by as well. For my friends up north, have you seen any leaves change yet?

This is the boardwalk to bear lake in the fall. When we went it was the first time I had been in the fall. The shakes place was still open but it was their final week and we took a family picture before heading out to listen to the water. Throwback to last year when we took our final family hike of the season. I am sure grateful for cameras and memories that are so easy to capture and keep. Remember the disposable cameras??? Ha ha ha. I sometimes miss the process of sending those in but not the disappointment of thinking I captured something beautiful only to find out it was a terrible picture 😂😂😂. Happy Monday!

I sent Mckay off to school this morning!! What?!? Summer??? Then I pretended that these dead leaves were autumn leaves 🍁 instead of monsoon ones and it made me feel a bit better. 😂 Welcome to my favorite time of year. I will be posting videos again soon.

Snow canyon biking, veyo pies, swimming, and Swiss family Robinson. I would say we had a fun packed weekend. All because McKay asked “mom, what FUN things are we doing tomorrow.” Ha ha. Sometimes the spontaneous plans are the best.

Happy Father’s Day! I believe last year I posted photos of my other dads too- the men in my life who patiently taught, guided, and inspired. I know not everyone has a father that is living, or perhaps they never had a father present, but good men have such a positive impact in the world. I hope you remember those who have inspired you.

I’m thankful to my dad. He taught me to love singing, to enjoy hiking, and books on tape while driving. When we were trying to think of what name to name our second son, tears came to my eyes as I thought of two of the kindest best men I know- my father and my father in law. Our son now carry on their names and we will always tell him about the goodness they shared with us and others.

And I can’t go without mentioning my husband, who tries everyday to be a little more kind, a little more patient, and perhaps he tries to be the favorite parent, but he won’t win. 🤷‍♀️ Thank you for being an amazing dad to our kids! Love you Justin. 💜💙💜

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Many of you know McKay’s birthday is on the holiday so an otherwise simple holiday means a lot to us. We of course had green pancakes, and I did decorate but no video this year. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and that you feel ☘️ lucky 🍀 for a life to live — and well I just sure feel lucky to have wonderful acquaintances and friends like you. My heart has been so full of it 😂. I’ve been feeling all the feels the past week with just how wonderful God is. He has blessed me with so much, and certain things that were huge question marks are being written in, falling into place and even though I’m tired and definitely need more sleep, things are wonderful! I sincerely hope that this week is a happy, and gratitude filled week for you!! Gratitude really does heal so much. Happy Thanksgiving! (A little early since I won’t be online much.)

10 years! Justin and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by going to Maine. Why? I have no idea. Maine was just calling my name and I had to go and it was AMAZING. We visited so many little towns along the way up to Acadia National Park and it was so beautiful. It had beaches, sea side scrambling rocks (Justin’s favorite), lakes, mountains, and beautiful fall trees. It did not disappoint— and I hope I can go back one day to visit the northern part of Maine. Now I need to know your favorite state that you have ever visited. What is it, and what made it special?

Ever feel like you are being pulled in so many directions that you are at a stand still? Just me? Ha ha what a day, what a week and month. I just want to thank everyone for all the support you have given my videos. Wonder. When I travel I see everything with wonder. As I sat in my church home from our wonder-ful trip I had an amazing thought—what if I saw home with the same wonder as when I travel. I can’t quite explain it but my heart was filled with light and I realized there is so much good to be found in the people and places around me but I forget because I’m back in the daily grind. I’ve decided to keep that same travel wonder as I’m home in my robe and slippers doing laundry, out shopping at the grocery store, or serving in some capacity in the community. I’m looking forward to what I discover!

I have been in Massachusetts and Maine for the past week and I was hoping to get my video up about our stop in Salem by last night. I literally got home just a short while ago and it’s taking longer than I had hoped. If I’m superwoman I might get it up by 9 tonight but if not I will post Monday night.
