This video took longer than we wanted, for a number of different reasons. If you haven’t seen it yet you can check it out through the link in our bio! We weren’t as excited about this piece, before or after unfortunately 😆 But it’s all good! If we really don’t like it later on we can always start over and try something different! But for now we’re going to move on to the next project and see how we feel about this cabinet after it’s been sitting there for a couple of weeks a least. Hopefully it grows on us 😅

Gotta love a good flea market find!
Got this one a while back and remembered that I’m not a fan of exposed lightbulbs. Not by the fact that it doesn’t look good, because it does, but by the fact that the bright light isn’t pleasant for the eyes. And also we liked to have lighting a bit dim in our hallway. So one bright 💡idea later Dan simply smoked the glass with a lighter and voila! A lamp that looks like it worked pre electricity, like a kerosene lamp!
Sometimes the simplest solution works just fine ☝🏼

And at last, the TV got its proper place in the lovingroom, after hiding in the bedroom for too long. We wanted to make the tv-stand as a floating shelf, and also connect it to the earthy vibes of the living room by giving it a stone texture (without it being an actual stone!!). The best part of it though is the hidden storage inside. Let us know what you think of it!
As we use to do when building something, the whole process of making this piece (of art) is now live on our youtube channel. 📽

So excited to start painting the tv-stand. This is when it’s really coming alive. It’s gonna be a bit tricky getting the tone right and make it look naturally aged, but that’s just making it more satisfying once it’s done!
Here I am blending the different acrylic colours to try to figure out which tones to go for 🎨

Speaking of… both lamps and second hand finds! This one is another bargain that we’ve made, already in its industrial shape. Quite unique, don’t you think? I at least haven’t seen one like it before. Makes one wonder wether it’s a one time build or a factory-made one.

Once we get our hands on a second hand bargain, you never know what’s gonna happen! This time Daniel made it look quite different from when we picked it up. It went from being a lamp straight out of an office, to one that’s been sitting around in a busy workshop for years. SWIPE to see how it looked before ➡️
We are pleased, is the least we can say! What do you think about this so called reversed restoration? Drop a comment down below to let us know 🙏🏼

Doing it backwards! We just posted a reversed restoration of a lamp we bought at a second hand store. The creative mind of Daniel made it look like it’s been sitting around in a workshop rather than in someone’s office! If you’d like to take a look at how he made it, click the link below 👇🏻

The goal was to make this table lamp look like something from a machinist workshop. Kind of the opposite of restoring it I guess. It's also worth noting that...

I wish I could say I built this, but didn’t.

Can hardly believe Sandra manage to snag this chair on a local “garage sale” for 10$.
I love everything about this chair, not only is it absolutely beautiful, it’s actually comfortable to. Unfortunately not enough to work as a full time office chair for those long editing sessions. But it’s gonna be the perfect chair for our future workshop.

It’s a 360 swivel chair with spring loaded suspension, adjustable height, adjustable back support (height & angle) and after we’ve put wheels on it, what more could you wish for? I mean, maybe some more cushioning? But at the same time, it’s a lot easier to keep it somewhat clean in a workshop as it is, without any fabric. Plus, the little spring suspension + the “sculpted seat” makes a huge difference.
