Having a relationship with God is no different than having a relationship with another person in that in order to bond, you have to keep spending time together to listen and learn about their likes and dislikes, what they’ve been through, their hopes and dreams… 🥰 But how do you do that with God who is Spirit? While we can be led to God by other people or circumstances, I find that the definitive way to truly know God is through the Bible.
God is the Word (John 1:1-4). Meaning because He is Spirit, He has given us tactile beings a book where His history, thoughts and plans are recorded. It’s like learning about someone who’s passed away or you’re certain to never cross paths with through his autobiography - except God is very much alive and He promises that we will see Him face to face one day 💖
But where to begin with the Bible which is perhaps the most daunting book of all time? 😱
