On our previous visit to Davao Skate Park, we were introduced to another type of skating, the inline skate. Aggressive and built for speed, inline skates can cover distance in a short amount of time.
We also had the opportunity to capture some action from the group of inline skaters in the city as they showed off their maneuvering skills.
Inline skates were designed after ice skates, so it is not a surprise that inline skaters can also glide the surface with speed and ease.
If you are into extreme and adrenaline-pumping activities, inline skating is a must-try. Visit Davao Skate Park, and don't hesitate to tap and join the growing inline skating community.

They are a group of roller skaters here in the city and they've been gliding together for more than a year now.

Invented in the late 50s in Los Angeles, California, skateboarding is one of the most-played individual sports in the world today. Its debut in the recent Tokyo 2020 Olympics caught the attention of the many, making people of different ages pick-up their own board and take the leap.
In Davao, skateboarding is a growing community. Thanks to the city government's initiative of putting up a skatepark like the Davao Skatepark and to various groups who frequently conduct skating events. Such projects and actions were able to attract more skateboarding enthusiasts to get closer to the sport.
On our visit of the park, we bumped with Rico Juarez. One of the many skaters who frequents there to practice. Rico has competed in several competitions and has coached beginners as his side-hustle.
If ever you get to meet him in your visit, feel free to ask him for tips. The guy is one of the most approachable person you'll come across.

PKT Cycle's BMX Jam
Some of the actions from PKT Cycle's BMX Jam, which was held on their grand opening on October 28, 2022. Riders from Davao City gathered to show their support and to showcase their BMX skills.
