Abbreviated “AG,” aviation aerographer’s mates are the Navy’s Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC) experts, trained in the science of meteorology and physical oceanography. AGs forecast meteorological and oceanographic conditions, prepare and present briefings concerning environmental impacts and effects on combat operations.
