After being denied admission three times while trying to study Law in different universities, my dad advised me to consider Linguistics, and that was how the journey began.

I planned to choose Pharmacy, but it wasn't accredited the year I took my UTME, which was 2017. The next best option at my disposal was veterinary medicine, and then I developed a passion for it. Alhamdulillah, I’ve never regretted that choice.

Motivation comes from home! All my siblings are scholars, and what stands out is that many of them also graduated from UI with very good results, Maasha Allah. My sister became a role model to me because I was amazed when she graduated with a first-class.

Alhamdulillah, in 500-level, when I was the Ameer, I was able to balance my academics with my ameership very well. A testament to this is how, despite being on the borderline, I was still able to finish with a first-class while also achieving a reasonable achievement in my ameership.

Alhamdulillah, I eventually had 80s in those courses where I had previously gotten 20s. In fact, in that semester, I had 100/100 in PHY104 and other 90s. I finished 100-level with 3.78/4.0.

During my 100 level days, my mom instilled a fear in me that UI gives students who fail woefully advice to withdraw. So I did TDB to the peak and had a 3.93 GPA in my first year. I was celebrated by people, my department, and MSSNUI. I was motivated and promised myself to maintain this until I graduated.
