Entrepreneurship Pros, Cons & Everything in Between - Live Podcast Recording with MProper Mimi
I just have to say wow! @mpropermimi partnered with @watchherwin President and Founder Obioma Richardson to do a live podcast recording in Chicago, IL. This event was a wonderful hybrid blend of six (6) powerful panelist speakers each sharing their own stories, tips and tricks to being successful entrepreneurs. The virtual portion of the webinar was managed by Rasheeda Frazier of @empower_great Sometimes it takes a tribe to support each other and Mimi Jacks and Rasheeda enjoyed bringing a lil bit of NYC to Chicago to support our sisterfriend Obioma with this event because that's what Queens do! #queensempowerqueens
Our panelists (listed below) talked about their paths to making the decision to start on their entrepreneurship journeys as well as how or if they used technology to help them along the way. They touched on having mentors, the lack of stability, figuring out how hard you want to work for yourself, pushing through, and something we love here on the MProper Mimi podcast...telling your story! Whether you are marketing, expanding your brand or giving a pitch to your daughter's school you have to be able to tell your story in a way that connects with people.

Happy MProper Mimi Monday! Last week we celebrated cannabis consumption on 4/20, especially as New York State just recently legalized recreational marijuana for adults 21 years of age and older! What better way to celebrate and relax with all of your closest podcast friends than to hold a yoga and smoke session together! So tune in to the latest MProper Mimi episode as host Mimi Jacks is joined by Azi the Artist, Cyren Young and friends for a 2nd year of 420 shenanigans. Azi is a singer, songwriter, yogi, dancer and woman extraordinaire!

In addition to permitting the possession of up to three ounces for personal use, the MRTA bill allows adults to grow three mature and three immature plants at a time, (I can't even grow pepper plants indoors) and legalizes the sale of weed with a 13 percent sales tax — which the state expects will raise $350 million in tax revenue every year, in addition to providing some 60,000 jobs. New York residents will be able to smoke weed in public wherever cigarette smoking is allowed.
The bill creates automatic expungement of previous marijuana convictions that would now be legal. 👀
Sooo...Let MProper Mimi know below what you think about legalized recreational marijuana usage in NYS! 🧘🏿♀️ Are we ready for this? Will there be equity and equality in the business of weed throughout the state?
