Ho ho, folks! It's that time of year again – the yearly Christmas record from Jazzaggression Handmade! We've made this a cherished tradition at JA HQ, as we're big fans of seasonal records.

This year's release is truly special. Originally recorded in 1999 and privately released on CD by Ditlef Eckhoff and his partner on their own HI-DI label, we only discovered this gem last year – and what a beauty it is! Featuring timeless, traditional Christmas songs with Ditlef's trumpet leading the way, the album showcases a band of legendary Norwegian jazz musicians, most of whom are sadly no longer with us. The lineup includes:

Einar "Pastorn" Iversen on keys, who also arranged several of the tracks, Ole Jacob Hansen (yes, the Norwegian drummer who played with Eric Dolphy in Paris), Harald Johnsen and Sture Jansson on bass (playing on different tracks), And the legendary engineer Jan Erik Kongshaug, who also played guitar on the album.

The tracklist is a blend of beloved classics, including:
Winter Wonderland, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, White Christmas, Julekveldsvise, Mary's Boychild, When You Wish Upon a Star, Det lyser i stille grender, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

This limited edition release comes in flip-over sleeves with a photo insert. It's a numbered edition of just 50 lathe-cut records – sure to sell out quickly! Please note: only one copy per customer.🥳
