MEGA002 #2002 Our first Toasters release starting the new record label back in 2002. This release is interesting on multiple levels for us. First this was an „Enhanced CD“ (remember those?) that built and designed that contained a wen site style interface and an archival version of the music video for Radiation Skank! This release also compiled all the previous Pool Shark / Recriminations/ Skaboom releases plus added an live unreleased song called „Calling All The Rude Boys“ which features Joe Jackson on . The enhanced pressing was 1,000 units and once it sold through we pressed it again a few years but had updated our logo and pressing costs had changed which allowed for full color CD face printing now too. This pressing was pressed twice, so 2,000 units total. Bob Fingerman drew the original Toasters dudes of which were scanned and revamped as well.

Still Standing : A North American Ska Uprising (4CD)
Released March 25, 2003
Megalith Records and joint label comp announced July 22-24, 2002.

A collection of bands (at the time) that were „still standing“ or just getting their boots laced up!

Thanks to Ingrid from The Schematics for the sealed copy!

Heading into our 19th year, Megalith Records continues to release new material from current bands as well as re-issues of The Toasters catalog. 2018 & 2019 saw the release of both brand new material from The 2Tone Lizard Kings in the form of ‘Robert FacePlant’ released on digipak CD [MEGA 060], cassette tape [MET 009] and vinyl [MEV 022], the same treatment was given to The Toasters ‘Pirate Radio’, which is a re-pressing of ‘Enemy Of The System’ with bonus tracks and new mastering. 2020 has brought some interesting roadblocks as well as some new opportunities and renewed motivation.

Was your band on this comp? Are you „still standing“? Where are you now?

A special shout out to a Mr. Joseph Evans formerly slappy_1969 from Midland Park NJ.
Email received on July 25, 2002 in response to our label / comp, „Bucket & Chuck“ team up announcement...

Still standing or standing still?

„If two has beens make a comp and nobody cares, does it still make a sound? We shall see.“

-Joe Evans

Well Joe, looks like hindsight is 2020 and we have seen. Still Standing and have been making gentle strides ever since!

Thanks to everyone that supports ALL music especially the independent sources!

Here‘s to hoping we see you at the merch table or the pit in 2021!
