Just 1 week to go until the end of our fundraiser! We need to get to at least 80% of our goal to keep the money that we raised. Thanks to the untimely demise of a service called "Green Inbox" that we'd been banking on using to email all of our Facebook friends, we've had a much harder time than anticipated reaching our audience. Since Facebook only lets me message about 50 people per day before it shuts down my ability to directly contact people, going has been slow. But I still think we can do this, especially with all the in-person fundraising events we have coming up in the next few days!
I know how much people love my films. One Man's Terrorist. Loggers. The Pilgrim's Progress. I know these movies have touched lives. I've made hundreds of people cry. I've changed young mens' minds about enlisting in the military. I've had multiple atheists admit that they liked my explicitly Christian films. I witnessed nearly 800 people show up to watch a feature length fantasy film that I made with no budget. There's no reason we can't raise a little bit of money!
If you've EVER liked one of my films, I promise that you'll love In the Shadow of the Valley. It may look like a relatively straightforward thriller, but it isn't. It's so much more than that. It goes places that will blow your mind. It's genre-bending in the most satisfying way possible. See, I have this theory about movies: if you promise someone a thriller and the movie ends up being a boring drama with like one moment of excitement, no one will like your movie and they'll think you're a liar. But if you promise someone a drama and deliver something that evolves into an action-packed thriller, people will love it. You can get away with ratcheting UP the genre-intensity of your films, but you can't turn it down. I've already promised you an exciting thriller, but I'm telling you: *this is something more than that.*
Please consider making a donation to our film. I can't make movies without the support of people like you. I know $100 might sound like a lot to get your name in the credits, but once you actually see this movie, I promise you you're going to be kicking yourself for not being a part of it. Heck, you're probably going to be kicking yourself for not dropping $250 on tickets to the Oregon premiere for you and your plus-one.
