Inner city vs. jungle beach town beauty standards Living in the inner city areas can mean a different set of beauty standards. From always having a haircut, perfect beard, makeup (even at the gym!), tamed looking hair, tight clothing to accentuate the body, lots of additions like extensions, filler, & body hair removal. This can eventually trick us into believing we are not enough as we naturally are. I’ve noticed in more rural beach town areas the beauty standards are highly differentiated! The people here are not wearing makeup, have free flowing hair (however that looks!), encourage body positivity and outside exercise. Really showcasing the definition of “natural beauty” by coming how you are & not conforming to societal standards or “inner city pressure”. What are you thoughts? Do you think you’re getting dressed & adorned to fit in with the normalities?
