Filipino artist Michael Jay Salcedo has caught the attention of social media users with his painting entitled “Blazing Compassion.”

The artwork, which is currently trending online, was shared by Salcedo as his entry for a painting competition.

Michael explains that he chose a firefighter as the subject to symbolize heroic actions—not only in the context of extinguishing fires but also in their selfless lifesaving efforts.

I just have to share this again with the Jeepney phase out thing happening. I feel bad for drivers like this driver I met, Kuya Guitang. As I said in this simple blog post, I shared my very nice experience with him that I just HAD TO SHARE THE WAY HE IS. It's very nice to have some jeepneys around that will be modernized but the phase out does not make sense if there is no plan for the drivers to have another way of making a decent living. It's not that hard to give them another job as drivers with the modernized jeeps, don't know that much about the phase out so forgive my ignorance about the topic, but, I do hope they can be assisted so these people can continue to live happily with life being hard as it is.

Life will give us plenty of reasons to give up. Plenty of reasons to start and then being afraid of how things will end. Minsan ganon talaga siguro, nakakaramdam tayo ng kahinaan muna para pag naranasan ulit alam na natin gagawin tapos mas madali na lampasan kumpara dati na halos tumambay tayo sa problema at hirap lang. May mga tao din tayong makikilala na tutulungan tayo sa lahat at mga tao na ibabagsak lang tayo. Pero same concept lang din, makikilala mo sila para sa susunod alam mo na gagawin.

Lesson of the day:
Learn from your past mistakes, and be a better person from it. ✌️🤙

HOLD YOUR BREATH WITH ME IF YOU WANT. PLACE YOURSELF IN A COMFORTABLE POSITION AND I START AT 0:20 😶‍🌫️
I have to push myself more with this performance art that I came to love since I was 7 years old. Magic is the only reason why I feel different from others, other than me having mental health problems. Started practicing during my high school years and still learning more until now. Currently pushing my body with David Blaine's BREATH HOLDING and learning the WATER SPOUT. Best Time: 1 minute and 41 seconds (with breath holding) goal is 3 minutes, HOUDINI'S longest time. Note: I didn't do any "cheat" with this. This is all me practicing breath holding and trying to document myself.

As time passes by, you don't notice it passing anymore. Bumibilis ang oras o minsan naman bumabagal. Bakit? Paano? Bumibilis ang oras natin sa tuwing akala natin wala na tayong ibang pwedeng gawin kundi magisip ng kung ano anong nangyayari sa atin dahil tayo lang ang nakakaalam kung gaano ito kabigat, kaya kahit bitbit mo ang mabigat na bagay mentally ang bilis pa rin ng oras at mararamdaman mo din physically ang pagbilis ng lipas ng araw. Bumabagal ang oras sa tuwing inaabangan natin na, "Sana matapos na ang araw na ito." Kasi gusto na natin matapos ang pagsubok ng pagiging gising. Kadalasan tulog nalang ang kakampi natin dahil ito ang mga oras na wala tayo sa realidad.
PERO BAKIT GANITO? BAKIT MAY KAILANGAN NA PAGDAANAN NA GANITO?
Nangyayari ito dahil mas PINAPATIBAY TAYO ng ORAS. Wag mag madali na may marating, God has a plan from the day we were born.
A plan where that you will never expect to be so great that you will just tear up once you get there. You may lose some and win some in time or during the process and/or the journey but again, TIME MAKES US STRONGER EVERY SECOND, MINUTE and EVERY HOUR. Patience is hard to come by but it's so worth it.

My anxiety went up like crazy today and fighting my depression now because of an opinion i shared at a facebook post. Didn't know you could get killed on facebook like that. Never again... Sorry if it was offensive...
I was just trying to do something i THOUGHT was just a shared opinion, trying to say that i didn't agree to that specific post (i will not say what post, but it was about indecency with clothing among women). I had to delete the post and unfortunately unfriend someone for me to keep calm because of what happened. Sorry to that person and sorry if i didn't say the right words to say that i did not agree with the post. That's the problem with social media i guess, you get misinterpreted, i think.
Well, back to positivity! 🫠
LET'S NOT LIVE TO PLEASE OTHERS:
Here is a BIG EDIT with this one. I'm sorry but if I can re-share the post I will, but I will do it because I want to spread positivity of the mind and awareness in a specific topic. I had no idea why I was so worried about other people's opinions against mine. I can respect theirs, if they don't respect mine it's all good I am very willing to hear what others want to share with everything. Reason why I'm "editing" this? I just got home from church, and I was surprised that our pastor literally talked about the idea of the post that I deleted because my anxiety got the best of me, and within that deleted post it has my personal opinion and a STORY below that is satirical in way, I believe, if someone can find it you be the judge. I simply said, "I WILL RESPECT YOU", but, "THERE WILL BE PEOPLE WHO WILL/MAY JUDGE YOU", because let's face it, being judged by others is inevitable. No matter what you do, how nice you are, how you wear your clothes, how you speak, how you live, there will always be judgement. So, let's just be open and accept that we are all different especially when it comes to personal lives and opinions. I'm actually welcoming comments on what they think about "HUMAN INDECENCY" whether it be the way we speak, the way we act towards other people and the way we cloth ourselves. Respect a person's opinion. If you can't, alright. 🙂

BEFORE YOU READ HIS POST, I WANT TO SAY THIS IS VERY TRUE. I was like this, im STILL like this. Always worrying and scared. I pray to God everynight before sleeping to keep myself strong. You just really learn how to live with the fact that you have anxiety and learn to live with it. I didn't say live with it alone though, you know what i mean.

NOW THIS IS WHAT COREY AUTRY HAS SHARED THAT MADE ME WANT TO POST IT HERE:

The love of an anxious person is always sincere.
Anxious people have no time to pretend because they fight against time, they are afraid of the future, afraid of losing...

Anxious people are faithful because they have in the flesh felt what it is to suffer a betrayal beforehand. This is why they are so careful not to do to someone what has already hurt them.

The anxious are not perfect, they are insecure, they rush and suffer for what is yet to happen.
Sometimes they even think of giving up and still don't because you are a part of their life.

There will be a constant struggle to keep you in their life, be patient and trust that the struggle is worth the reward.

Bullying in all sorts of action is unacceptable. I was bullied in elementary and high school, and depression got the best of me at grade 6. At ngayong diagnosed na ako with mental health illnesses and depression is one of it, mahirap labanan ito araw araw. It is not a joke. I want to fight for what is right regarding sa mga ganito. Tiktok will only be one of my ways of giving out awareness and fighting for those who can't. Matagal na akong gumawa ng videos and simple blogs about this situations and topic. I will never get tired of getting the word out and fight for what is right when it comes to mental health.

Rest in peace to the victim. Condolences to the family of the victim. God Bless everyone.

On the way home, napadaan ako sa isang shop full of masks, random toys and props. Didn't realize the owner was a MASTER OF STAGE MAGIC for 19 years before he retired during the peak of his career. Now retired, his knowledge of the art of magic that we share is not. We talked for almost 2 hours about his student, his career and everything about magic. I want to share his student's name, but i can't. Visit him and ask him yourself and be surprised! Nice to meet you, Tito Bing! A master stage magician with a simple card magician.

Wanted to share this message a few months ago, 'cause it's something that I literally don't that much which is, a simple compliment.
It really gives me that feeling where I can tell myself, "I finally made something that's worth something." I'm happy with making music, and I'm still learning, also got to collaborate with a fellow independent artist as a songwriter and we're just waiting for the whole project to be released very soon. What I'm doing is not much, and it's probably nothing compared to anything related to any achievement. But it makes me happy to know that I actually impressed at least one person.

Sometimes, all it takes is a simple gesture of appreciation for someone to continue to push towards their goals and dreams. My family is an example of this.

These pictures were taken just recently and some were years ago, meaning that happiness and sadness goes back and forth, but smiles can be and should be captured, and why? because as time passed by, I realized that happiness is something that we all need, but unfortunately, cannot get most of the time. There are moments where we are already in the position to get that moment happiness but we choose to not accept it due to us focusing on the negative side of things, which was something that I did for years.
I wish I could take those wasted years of me being with the wrong people at the wrong time and enjoyed my life more I've made good and bad decisions. Decisions that changed my life for the better and decisions that changed my life for the worse. Being depressed kept me down a lot for years but praying to God and staying strong is the only choice nothing more, nothing less, trust me. Having the perfect people around me today is a blessing and now I'm doing my best to make up for everything. Living life and letting God guide me. Just a share of midnight thoughts.

Agree to this! Life is not about graduating from a well known school and not making mistakes as much as possible. Fact is, grades does define the student or person and we are allowed to make mistakes as long as we learn from them. That's what makes us human beings. Planning out your life will give you anxiety and more, trust me, I KNOW! Let God be your guide.
