So so happy that I was able to help the school this year by creating these super cute Custom Teacher cups for their office Christmas party! It was such a fun time making them and I’m so happy with how they turned out !!! 🎅🏼❤️

In 2015, it was estimated some 6,000 children had died while at residential schools. So far, more than 4,100 children have been identified.

Among the 215 bodies found by the radar at the Kamloops School; there appears to be one of a child who died as young as 3, said Chief Rosanne Casimir of the Tk’emlups te Secwepemc. All of the children were buried decades ago, she said.

Chief Casimir also said she anticipated that more remains would be discovered as the ground is scanned further this month. The community is now working with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the coroner’s service in British Columbia.

This most definitely will not be the last that we hear about residential schools.

Stand with me to mourn the lost lives of the children who attended these torturous schools and to pay our respects to the survivors.
