Located on the island of Miyajima in Hiroshima Prefecture, Itsukushima Shrine (also known as Itsukushima Shinto) is an important deity of Japanese tourism, famous for its giant torii gate. The view of this torii gate submerged in seawater in front of Mount Misen on Miyajima Island is one of the three best views of Japan.

Motonosumi Inari Temple is a sacred place when locals come here to pray for health and fortune. Unlike other shrines, where the altar box is often placed low, the box of Motonosumi Inari is hung 5m high in the middle of the large gate located at the entrance to the temple. To offer the ceremony, visitors have to skillfully throw the money so that it hits the box. Locals say that if someone throws money at the box, their wish will come true.
