This fine was imposed due to improper documentation only, and no actual money laundering activities were actually reported.

On the other hand, EFG bank has been involved in many PROVEN fraud cases over the past decade. Countless of people and companies are having their assets and funds being misappropriated. HOWEVER, it seems like NO action is being taken by MAS. Not a single course of action nor any signs of investigation is being done. Naturally, EFG bank is getting bolder with each passing year with the fraud amounts getting bigger each time, as they can seemingly get away with anything they do.

They are involved in at least 20 big lawsuits all over the world, including the 1MDB case. This is simply appalling. They are probably the ONLY bank in the world with so many lawsuits against them. No wonder investor confidence in them is at a long time low, and rightfully so. All their money has probably been used up through litigation. The first one was them being sued by a wealthy Thai tycoon. The case was eventually settled out of , with EFG having to pay out a huge settlement fee as a form of compensation.

The second case was fairly similar in nature. This time the victim was a businessman who lost his investments in the bank due to staff misappropriation. As before, the case was settled out of court and a settlement fee was paid to the victim.

Both cases are 100% true but were not made known to public due to them being held behind closed doors to avoid tarnishing the "reputation" of . Why is EFG having to compensate so many people who were cheated by them, and just how many more have happened behind closed doors that we do not know about? Lastly, why is not stepping in to do something about it? Are they scared of offending the "big players" in the industry? Is it also time for EFG's to be revoked?
