Why the name “We Are All Enlisted?”
We Are All Enlisted is a faith-promoting podcast for members and friends of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was created by Marc DeLuca, a chaplain in the U.S. Army. The podcast reviews the Come Follow Me reading for the week from one soldier’s point of view. The name “We Are All Enlisted comes from the beloved (if slightly campy) LDS hymn. It’s a play on the fact that the host is in the military, while also emphasizing that ALL of us are enlisted in the conflict between good and evil, so we’re all enlisted soldiers of a sort. The podcast was originally intended for LDS servicemembers in deployed or remote environments who are not able to frequently attend Church meetings, but anybody who enjoys talking about scriptures and faith should feel welcome to listen in.
