My business baby is already 3 years old! Time flies when not a single day feels like working.

It truly is the best decision I ever made, because I love being able to support passionate entrepreneurs with their social media presence.

I’ve been creating content since I was 12 year old. I used to have a fashion blog that turned into a YouTube channel and now I get to help businesses with content creation and implementing said content.

Even though this year ended up to be a little different. 2 months after my poly-trauma accident, I started working again from my at-home hospital bed and my job is one of the reasons I’m this motivated to recover. It’s my passion project turned into a real job.

It did took me 3 years to find a suitable name, but here it is. Welcome to .be ✨

Remember the Snap Map? One of Snapchat's flagship features, which lets users view public Snapchat Stories from anywhere in the world?

Instagram has its own version of that feature now too. The Instagram Map lets you watch Stories, find new accounts to follow, make travel plans, and more.

It's a great feature for discoverability.

Another new feature, they're testing is, showing typical response time.

If you're wondering, Sofie why are you sharing this? Not because you have to reply DM's within 5 minutes.

But because your most engaging, and most interested audience, is right there in your DM's. They're ready to buy your product or hire your service.

So here's your sign to spend time on answering question. Or tell your followers to DM you when they want to ask you something.

You can now pin posts on your grid!

HOW?
Longpress on the post/reel or tap the 3 dots in the corner.

WHAT?
If you have a product based business you could pin your bestsellers. Or if you have a online business, you can add your core offer to the pinned posts.

Do I still prefer 7-15s videos? YES!!

But if you do it right, and you can keep people entertained, 90s won't hurt your watchtime 😉

When a client asked me if I did 'hashtag research', I immediately said no, that's a waste of time and money 💸

I've made a few posts about it in the past, but Adam (head of IG), recently shared some info about #'s ⚡️

Hashtags don't lead to more views, more engagement, more followers, more sales,...

Hashtags help the algorithm categorize your content to share it with the people that might be interested in your piece of content 📺

Reality check: The only people that actually search for #'s are people that want to engage with accounts from the same niche, for their benefit, not to buy your product/ book your services 😅

Let's debunk another old Instagram content strategy.

Remember when everyone used the app Later to make a visual planning, so your posts would perfectly match your Instagram feed?

If you're still wasting time on the perfect piece of content, I'm really sorry but that time has is over.

Posting real and raw content is the perfect way to change up your content and it makes people realize that there's an actual imperfect person behind the account.

Everything listed in this post will not lower your engagement and it will not change your ranking.

Instagram has at least 4 algorithms so don't blame 'the algorithm' for your lack of engagement.

Keep creating content, change up your strategy, check your analytics or try new features, and your engagement will increase 💪🏻

Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram recently announced his focus points for 2022 and you might want to give these IG features some extra attention this year.

First of all: vertical reels content. If you’re still sharing horizontal & long form content, you might needed to hear this! 📲

Next up, messaging, social media and customer service go hand in hand this year.

Last but not least shopping. In the met averse, whether we're already there or not, people will be shopping from small business and use IG to buy from them.

When you're scrolling down your Instagram feed, you may have spotted 'because you're following X' or 'because you might like a similar post from Y'.

Instagram has recently updated the main Instagram feed with posts from people you might be interested in. It's comparable with the explore tab.

If you don't like it, I have the best news ever, because you can get rid of it!

The only thing you need to do is follow the steps on my post, et voilà 🙌

Have you noticed your engagement dropping in December? No worries, it's the time of the year.

People spend less time on their phone when the hunt for Christmas presents is over. So you might not want to share your most valuable content between Christmas and New Year's Eve.

What you can to is repurposing content, sharing your best performing content or share a throwback to the memories you made this year.

The story of an ex-pod member 😅
Gosh, that sounds so dramatic. But before I knew it was not-done, I used to be a member of a couple engagement groups on Instagram & Telegram.

Why I did it? I thought it would 'improve' my account, especially because I joined a pod with well-known influencers, so I thought it would be great if they commented on my account.

After a while, I didn't see the purpose of liking and commenting (with at least 4 words) the photos of accounts that I'm not interested in. It's like entering a sushi restaurant when you don't even like sushi.
So to wrap this up, if you've been contacted to join an engagement group, just say no thanks.

So the activity filter let's you choose which notifications you want to see when scrolling through your activity feed. Keep in mind that you'll need to apply the filter every time you open up the activity tab.

Nope, it's not true! Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri recently shared it on his Instagram Stories.

Instagram will not punish you for correcting your spelling mistake.

Remember those Instagram guru's preaching you should post at least once a day.... 😅

If you can post 2 high quality posts a day and stay consistent for months. You should keep posting twice a day 👏

But if you're currently posting once a week, I suggest, starting with 2 high quality posts a week. If you can keep up with that schedule, you might want to add a third one to your content calendar next month.

You can't be a professional ballerina in 1 week, but you can learn the basics and improve your skills over along the way.
