“The Promise”

“And, just as she had finished climbing the last hill, she was faced with yet another one.

Exhausted, she sighed heavily, wishing this journey she was on wasn't so tough at times. The steps on this path were steeper than the last and even more narrow than before and many would avoid using it. The flowers were pretty, but the stinging plants way up were challenging to walk through. She could of course turn around and tip-toe over the bridge and through the dark tunnel. They were flatter and much wider, but she knew going back wasn’t an option. And although lush green pastures lay behind, they were often filled with danger and wild creatures hiding in the bushes. She had spent too much time in those parts before and she knew that they were much more foreboding than a bunch of nettles and the tall steps that lay ahead.

So, she decided against this option and instead would tackle the trickier beat before her. Besides, it was the only way home, and she needed to get home. And, as tired as she was, she knew the light within her heart would give her strength. She decided never to turn from this path, for she knew hope would eventually greet her at the top of the steps; and home.

Yes, the promise of home. She just needed to keep going.

“A Light Forever Shines”

“The little cat knew she only had to look for the light to find her way home. Every night she would stop, look up, and thank the old lamp for guiding her before turning in. With a stretch and a yawn she would settle down, safe and sound, warmed by the fading embers of the coal fire.”

Be the one that lights the way for others. You may only be the one that does.

Be still and offer your services to Divine will.

Be still and feel oneness with all things.
