🤯 TIP TUESDAY 🤯
The texture of our highlights are soft and smooth. Rarely do I experience dry highlights. 🤩
Contour on the other hand, is supposed to be thicker in texture and will last a lot longer than highlights. This is why they may get dry causing you to use more pressure to get the product on your brush.
The fix👉🏼WARM IT UP! Once it's warmed up it will be good to go for another couple of months! Brand new!🙌🏼

☀️🌊TUESDAY TIP—SUN PROTECTION🌊☀️
With warmer temps hwew, let's talk about the SUN and protecting yourself from its harmful rays.
☀️MYTH: Makeup with SPF is as effective as sunscreen.
☀️FACT: It would take 7x the normal amount of foundation to get the desired amount of SPF. Don't be fooled!
☀️IIID Foundation does contain titanium dioxide, which is a mineral found in some SPF, but like other foundations it does NOT contain enough for total sun protection.
☀️Look for a sunscreen with minimal ingredients for healthier sun protection. I'll list some that I have used and love!

- spritz a tiny amount a setting spray into the cap
- dip either the line or multitasker brush into the spray
- gently swipe into your eyeshadow color of choice

Tip Tuesday!! What an interesting nugget of info below... something I just learned about too!
We talk A LOT about cleaning our makeup brushes, but it never crossed my mind to clean my mascara wand too! 😱
It's true! In addition to the recommendation to replace every 3 months, continual use of mascara without cleaning the wand can cause bacteria to grow in your tube. This leads to styes and eye infections.
Since I definitely don't follow the recommendation to replace🤣, maybe I should start cleaning my wand!
How To Clean: Run the mascara wand under hot water and gently massage the bristles to remove old mascara. Using an antibacterial soap (like Dawn) wash the wand and rinse until water runs clear. Shake off excess water and return wand to the tube! This can be repeated weekly!
Aside from a clean tool, you can get that new tube of mascara application more often!

⭐️TIP TUESDAY ⭐️ TROUBLESHOOTING ⭐️
🎂 OILY/TACKY/CAKEY
Less is more!! I can't say it enough. Your highlight tin should be lasting around 2-3 months. If you are going through a lot, we may also need to get you a darker shade. If you touch your skin and it feels tacky, you have too much product on your skin.
☔️OILY SKIN:
Setting Sprays work wonders, and I love ours! We also have a powder that fits into your palette called Vanilla Dust. If you do use a powder, only use it in your T-Zones. Sometimes it's just a matter of your skin adjusting to the cream makeup formula, and most people find their skin is LESS oily after using it for a while as it doesn't deprive your skin of moisture like other foundations.
🌖SPOTTY/FLAKY/PATCHY
Try exfoliating and moisturizing your skin AT NIGHT and try applying your makeup the next day. If it is still flaky or patchy, we need to do a new color match (it's probably too light!) and talk about our amazing skincare line.
❣️ACNE
Go darker, not lighter. To cover pink or red, use brown (Aspen) or green (June). To cover blue (darkness), use orange (Mango). You won't get rid of texture, but you can hide those pigments.

If you are needing a little extra help correcting redness on your nose, try using a highlight that is one or two shades darker than the color you use to highlight other areas of your face.
The darker pigments will provide extra coverage while still blending seamlessly!

💁🏼‍♀️ Do you know your face shape? The face is truly a beautiful canvas- that can be sculpted and enhanced. The concept of highlighting and contouring can seem a little intimidating in the beginning but just start! Start with shortening the forehead, give your cheekbones a lift and brighten the triangle of light under your eyes.
🙌 Once you get the hang of that do some research on face shapes. The "ideal" face shape is considered oval. So everything is done to create that shape. Determine your face shape- then begin with a few advanced techniques. It's not hard when you have good tools (brushes) and cream foundation that blends easily. Study your beautiful face- now begin to adjust your highlighting and contouring for specific purposes. Have some fun! Don't like what you did... blend it out! It's easy with our magic cream!

Tip Tuesday... Broken Powder – don't throw it away!
You can salvage the one you have with Isopropyl Alcohol. Check it out!
Step 1: Put what you can of your broken powder back in the tin and use a dropper, syringe or straw to drop a tiny bit of the alcohol into the tin of broken shadow just to moisten. Do not make the powder soaking wet, or your going to have to wait a long time for your powder set up and dry.
Step 2: Press the product firmly into the tin and tap it lightly to break up any bubbles.
Step 3: Press on top of the tin with plastic wrap or a paper towel to remove any excess moisture. The firmer you press on the powder mixture in the tin, better it is going to melt back together and be as good as new.
This trick will work with any of our powders and shadows.

Make custom lip and cheek colors by mixing a few of your favorites together and melting in one of your empty tins!
Have any tins running low? Take the left overs from a few and put together in 1. Melt it on a flat iron or in oven on a baking sheet for a minute.

Tip Tuesday: Girl "shave" your face !
Shaving your face has become quite the rage lately. I've been doing it for the past year and have found some benefits to it!
Lots of people worry that the hair on their face will grow back darker or thicker. This is not a valid worry as the hair on your face is vellus hair and is short, fine and lightly pigmented and shaving it does NOT change this.
There are lots of benefits to shaving your face:
💠removes the fine hair giving you a smoother makeup application
💠exfoliate dead skin cells
💠smoothes the texture of the skin
💠allows for better pe*******on of beauty products
There are definitely some considerations to keep in mind before undertaking this beauty routine:
🛑do NOT do this if you have acne or blemishes
🛑you need the right tool - Ti**le razors are small and give you great control - I clean mine with alcohol before using
🛑prepare your skin by cleansing it before and toning after shaving to prevent ingrown hair and razor burn
🛑consistency is needed to maintain the results
If you decide to try take your time and use firm short strokes being extra careful. I do this every few weeks and find it super easy!!

Tip Tuesday coming at ya again!
WHERE ARE MY 𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗡 LADIES? 𝑅𝑒𝑎𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 👇🏼
For those of you that struggle with oily skin here are some tips for setting your makeup and helping it last longer:
1) USE the Tres Leches line. Either classic or tidal. Use it. I promise you will notice a difference in the oils in your skin. I had an especially oily T zone and it has leveled out....I use the cleanser and cream every night. If you have oily akin I suggest you use the toner at night too rather than in the morning.
2) Use just the Cleanser in the morning. Nothing else. No toner, no moisturizer, nothing. You can use a sunscreen if you'd like. Make sure it's a light feel and nothing heavy, no added moisture.
3) Apply your makeup in layers. Not cake it on. Less is best! Build with your coverage.
4) Once your cream makeup is on take your Perfector sponge (you'll want ours from Maskcara Beauty- HUGE difference and make sure it's damp!) and spray your stay spray (the non spf kind) on it. Take and press the stay spray into your skin with the damp sponge. This will set your makeup and also soak up any excess makeup. Make sure your sponge is damp!! It makes a huge difference so it's not soaking up all of your makeup.
5) Apply setting powder through your tzone or oily areas....with the DAMP Perfector sponge. This keeps your powder from settling into fine lines etc.
6) BAKE! Use a loose powder and place it through your tzone areas in large amounts. Let it sit (bake) for about 5 minutes. This absorbs the oil leaving a matte finish. Then take a brush and blend out!

👉🏼EYEBROWS MATTER- Fill in your brows and add a little lift to your arch with the Line Brush. This will open your eyes. Hello instant eye lift!
👉🏼HAC YOUR LIDS- That's right, contour isn't just for your face! By adding darker tones of eyeshadow, this will accentuate the curves and add dimension to your eyelids.
👉🏼SOFTER LINER- If you want larger looking eyes, ditch the skinny eyeliner! Instead soften your liner by using a shadow and slightly smudge it. I love the pencil tip of the Eyeshadow Brush to achieve this look!
👉🏼LIFT THE LASHES- By adding a bend to your lashes, this will brighten your overall look. When using an eyelash curler, be sure you work from the base of the lashes all the way to the top, curling as you go.

Just grab one of our microfiber cloths and wrap them up! Pack your Houdini and you will already have a cloth to clean your brushes on! I love not having to worry about the bristles on the brushes by doing this!

TIP Tuesday!
✨Did you know you could actually create bags under your eyes with your concealer/highlight?
☀️Do not use a color that's too light thinking the brighter the better. It's actually the opposite. Brighter will only "highlight" the problem even more.
☀️Avoid applying concealer/highlight directly under the eyes. Be sure to bring the color down into this triangle shape. Why? Because brightening "around" the problem will blend the problem. We don't want to draw attention where we don't want it.
☀️If you have dark circles, you need to color correct first. Concealer alone isn't enough to correct unwanted pigment and can actually make it look worse. We have great color correcting options.
