THIEF ELECTROCUTED TO DEATH IN OTUKPO BENUE STATE.

In a shocking turn of events, a young man attempting to vandalize an electric transformer in Otukpo met his untimely end. The ill-fated individual succumbed to electrocution, serving as a stark reminder of the dangers of criminal behavior.

The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the community, with many hailing the incident as a case of poetic justice. The phrase "99 days for the thief, one day for the owner" has become a rallying cry, signifying the swift and decisive nature of karma.

While the tragedy of a young life cut short cannot be ignored, it is essential to recognize the importance of deterrence in maintaining social order. As the people of Otukpo bid the would-be vandal farewell, they also acknowledge the significance of justice served.

Why are we so obsessed with age ? Why?

Who gave the rule that you must marry before 30?
That you must have a car before 32?
That you must have a house before 45?

Why do we put too much emphasis on age? We act as though life starts to end after a certain number. We really have to stop counting and just live our lives, start the hobby, change the career and embark on a new endeavor.

You’re only as old as you feel

I am on a countdown to 40 and beginning to care less on age as a number but focus on my goals.

Am I healthy?
Do I have a wonderful family?
Are my friends amazing?
Am I focused on my goals?
Am I living my purpose?

Putting too much emphasis on age adds unnecessary stress and pressure to a lot of people, it causes many to rush the process and milestones that don’t need to be rushed and it leads a lot of individuals into to end/ give things up things that don’t have to end/ be given up.

That's why you see 25 year olds looking 45 because of the weight of pressure they put on themselves.

Just keep living your life, trying new things and enjoying what you love until you physically can’t anymore. In most regards, age is truly a number.

2. Won world women prize for fiction 2007 .

3. She is a McArthur fellowship member ( this is a group of world distinguish schoolers only for GENIUS ).

4. Won America's National book critics Award for fiction 2014.

5. Won Pen Open book Award for fiction.( This is for world best writers competition)

6. Won world best short Award for literature.

In 2002, she was shortlisted for the Caine Prize for African Writing for her short story "You in America",and her story "That Harmattan Morning" was selected as a joint winner of the 2002 BBC World Service Short Story Awards. In 2003, she won the David T. Wong International Short Story Prize 2002/2003 (PEN Center Award).

In 2010 she was listed among the authors of The New Yorker's "20 Under 40" Fiction Issue. In April 2014, she was named as one of 39 writers aged under 40[106] in the Hay Festival and Rainbow Book Club project Africa39, celebrating Port Harcourt UNESCO World Book Capital 2014. In April 2017, it was announced that Adichie had been elected, as one of 228 new members to ube inducted on 7 October 2017,into the 237th class of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; this was one of the highest honours for intellectuals in the United States.

Adichie holds 16 honorary doctorate degrees from universities including Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Edinburgh, Duke University, Georgetown University, Johns Hopkins University, and the Catholic University of Louvain. In 2016, she was conferred with an honorary degree, Doctor of Humane letters, honoris causa, by Johns Hopkins University.In 2017, she was conferred an honorary degree, Doctor of Humane letters, honoris causa, by Haverford College and The University of Edinburgh.In 2018, she received an honorary degree, Doctor of Humane Letters, from Amherst College.She received an honorary degree, doctor honoris causa, from the Université de Fribourg, Switzerland, in 2019. On 20 May 2019, Ngozi Adichie received an honorary degree from Yale University .On 28 April 2022, she received her 16th honorary doctorate degree from the Catholic University of Louvain.

On 13 October 2022, she rejected an award that was to be given to her by the government of President Muhammadu Buhari: "The author did not accept the award and, as such, did not attend the ceremony. On 30 December 2022, Adichie was made the Odeluwa of Abba, a Nigerian chief, by the kingdom of Abba in her native Anambra State. She was the first woman to receive such an honour from the kingdom.

My husband suff£red !njury at his w0rk place and lost f0ur of his f!ngers, he was rushed to to the H0spital.

Atanda, my husband was still at the h0spital when one of the staff told him that they plan to S-a-c-k him if he does not resume the following week.

Atanda, my husband resumed the following week and just after four days, they sacked him that he is not fit for the w0rk anymore.

You need to take this cas£ to the Nati0nal Industr!al C0urt of Nigeria because, A c0mpany can be h£ld liable for N£gligence in 2 ways:

1. Liability for N£gligence under the Common Law
2. Liability for N£gligence under W0rkmen’s C0mpensation A-c-t (now £mployee’s C0mpensation A-c-t)

S£ction 7 (2) of the £mployee’s C0mpensation A-c+t of 2010 provides that the £mployee is entitled to c0mpensation for any acc!dent suffered between the place of w0rk and the £mployee’s residence, the place where the £mployee takes meals, or the place where he usually receives remuneration, provided that the £mployer has a prior notice of such place.

The Nigeria Labour Congress has has disclosed that the ongoing nationwide strike will continue despite the agreement signed with the Federal Government at Monday’s meeting.

The congress, in a post on X, on Tuesday said the industrial action which has grounded the nation’s economy will continue until Tuesday’s meeting of organs of the union where all resolutions of Monday’s meeting are expected to be reviewed.

“Until we hear from our organs at our meeting scheduled for today, June 4, we are still on strike,” the post read.
