The Meeting of the Russian-Arab Business Council started in Dubai

The opening of the Meeting of the Russian-Arab Business Council took place at the Dubai EXPO Exhibition Center on January 25. Four panel sessions: finance, investment, agriculture, information technology and a plenary session were held of the forum. More than 350 people from Russia and 17 Arab countries attended the event. Dozens of B2B meetings were held between entrepreneurs in the pavilions of Russia and partner countries. Among the speakers of the forum were representatives of government authorities, presidents of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of large businesses from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and Russian delegation.

The welcoming speech from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was read out by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the UAE Timur Zabirov.

"The Business Council performs valuable work to ensure a direct and meaningful dialogue and practical cooperation between business communities of Russia and the States of the vast Middle East and North Africa region," the President's greeting reads.

According to Vladimir Putin, over the years of its existence, the RABC has done a lot to build mutually beneficial business contacts, promote and diversify trade and investment exchanges, and develop and implement ambitious projects in industrial, agricultural, energy, transport and communications sectors.

Mishustin appoints Andrey Terekhin as Trade Representative of Russia to the UAE

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has appointed Andrei Terekhin as Russia's trade representative in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The corresponding order is posted on the official portal of legal information.

“To appoint Andrey Terekhin as the trade representative of the Russian Federation in the United Arab Emirates,” the text says.

Earlier it was reported that Mishustin had appointed Vitaly Kondratenko as the country's trade representative in Argentina.
