HERE ARE SOME ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE ABOUT SHOOTING IN ICELAND RIGHT NOW:

Q: To what extend can you operate productions in your country? We can shoot anywhere in the country, permitting as usual. Maximum groups of 50 people allowed which applies to film crews as well. Exemptions for larger crews from the Government possible if needed. Maximum groups of 100 from May 25th, to be confirmed.

Q: Is crew available and will crew show up? Yes.

Q: Are vendors open and how is public life affected? All vendors are open. Equipment rentals, restaurants, stores, malls and hotels are open. Country is up and running as before.

Q: How stringent are governmental restrictions on groups of people? Gatherings of 50 people allowed at the moment. Soon to be increased to 100.

Q: What incoming/outgoing travel restrictions or quarantine regulations are active? Iceland has implemented the travel restrictions imposed for the Schengen Area and the European Union. Foreign nationals - except EU/EEA, EFTA or UK nationals - are not allowed to enter Iceland. These travel restrictions are valid until May 15th 2020. All tourists entering the country until May 15th have to do a 14 day quarantine. Exemptions are possible for film crews travelling in. Will need to apply for the exemptions. There is a limited number of flights. Icelandair is flying out of London, Boston and Stockholm at the moment (May 12th).

Q: Can you support remote feed projects?
Yes. Extensive 4G network covering even the remote locations.
