Crayola has a pencil pack called “Colors of the World,” which includes more than 40 skin tones.

Rich Wuerthele, Crayola Executive Director, explained that this arts and crafts product was created to promote inclusion in children's creativity.

“In an increasingly diverse world, Crayola hopes that our new crayons will promote greater representation and help cultivate a deeper sense of belonging and acceptance,” Rich expressed in a statement.

A Filipino artist's work fetched a whopping HKD19,450,000 (about $2.5 million or P119.8 million) at Christie's live auction last Sunday, May 24.

Ronald Ventura's "Party Animal" is said to be the highest price paid for an artwork done by a living Filipino artist.

The 2017 acrylic on canvas painting was estimated to fetch at around HKD 800,000 to HKD1,200,000 at the "20th and 21st Century Art Evening Sale." The piece from a private collection in Asia was exhibited in Tyler Rollins Fine Art, New York, from October 2017 to January 2018.

Before Ventura, Geraldine Javier was believed to be the Filipino living artist with the most expensive painting sold. Her “Ella amo' apasionadamente y fue correspondida” (For she loved fiercely, and she is well-loved) oil painting with embroidery and preserved butterflies fetched HKD 1,460,000 or approximately P8.8 million at 2010's Christie’s auction in Hong Kong. | Philippine Star

2. Visit art fairs or exhibits. One of the best ways to show your support is to show up in events. Support local artists by attending art fairs or exhibits.

3. Follow them on social media. Follow artists online and help increase their visibility for them to reach more visibility. Don't forget to credit them if you share their work.

4. Share their work with others. Tell people if you find something new that you love--whether it's a painting, song, or performance art.

5. Hire them and pay them per their experience level. Or you can also ask an artist to do a commissioned work. Some artists find it difficult to make a living. That's why you should pay artists for their work and according to their experience level. You can also commission them to create something special.

6. Take an art class from a local artist. Learn new skills by getting to know your local artists. Many artists are passionate about their craft and love to share it with other people. Take an art class from them and learn more about their creative process.
