Huge honour beyond words to have legendary award winning cult film actress Lynn Lowry like the Schlock Angel Entertainment page. Have been a huge fan of her as a teenager seeing her in George Romero's "The Crazies" and David Cronenberg's "Shivers" .. "I Drink Your Blood" & "Cat People" featuring the famous David Bowie track! .. Lynn has worked with some of the most iconic figures in independent cinema such as Johnathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) Lloyd Kauffman (Troma Entertainment) and Peter Fonda (Easy Rider)... Plus is continuing to be such a strong force in the horror genre today!

Day 2: Appreciation post for people in the industry I've admired over the years who've supported Schlock Angel Entertainment. Right from the beginning!

Up today is Annabelle Lecter who has featured from 2012-2016 on 208 episodes of Without Your Head. The world's longest running, active horror podcast . She has interviewed the likes of Thom Mathews (Friday the 13th 6, Return of the living Dead), Stephen Geoffreys (Fright Night) , Angus Scrimm (Phantasm) and countless other horror veterans. Annabelle has also worked as a script supervisor on the film "Witch Hunt".

Over the next few days will be giving a small shout out to some people I've admired in the industry over the years who to my surprise have supported this small page right from the beginning. Which my mission is to expand over time.

First up is Dana Fredsti an Actress/Writer who has worked on projects like Army of Darkness, Cause of Death, Princess Warrior & Bloodbath. She has acted alongside many legends within the horror genre and has been a writer on films featuring the talents of Joe Pilato (Day of the Dead) , Ken Foree (Dawn of The Dead) & Brinke Stevens (The Slumber Party Massacre) ... Dana is a prolific author and has published over a dozen novels such as "The Spawn of Lilith" & "The Plague Town" trilogy

Here is a trailer for Odyssey of the Disturbed a tribute to 80's horror movies and B movies in general. Just as a taste to show what's to come in the future. The film is also a segment in the upcoming 80's themed feature film "Awesomely Righteous & Radical".Created by controversial filmmaker Shane Ryan (Amateur P**n Star Killer trilogy) and has retro appearances from Clint Eastwood and Robert Z'Dar (Maniac Cop)

The film was made by myself Dean Houlihan. It stars Dan Vaughan, Alan McLoughlin, Nedra Cullen O'Brien, Laurajane Sherlock, Holly Ruth Bailey, Fionn Noonan & John Nolan.

Schlock Angel Entertainment is an upcoming film production company based in Ireland newly formed by myself Dean Houlihan. The purpose is to create short films/features/music videos that are in vein of B Movies of the Drive in Theater days of the 1950's-1980's. Plus those of the hey days of Home Video during the 80's 90's. The main objective is to create mostly B movie styled films and projects with the intention of being as unique, entertaining and as outrageous as possible.

The approach is to create a modern day innovative brand starting now in 2020 that is rarely seen today and certainly not in Ireland. Primarily creating and releasing films in the Horror/Fantasy/Science Fiction & Action genres. Think of the likes of mavericks in founding independent film studios such as Charles Band (Full Moon Features), Roger Corman (New World Pictures) and Lloyd Kauffman (Troma Entertainment).

The ultimate goal is to create a revolutionary movement in this country for low to no budget filmmakers. Plus use this as a means of networking and forming long term relationships. I want to recruit people along the way to team with, kind of like a film cult except without the brainwashing, deception and murder unless if it's SCRIPTED ONLY ON SCREEN lol.

Seriously though want this to be as inclusive as possible for film creatives WORLD WIDE and also give people the opportunity to use this as a platform. So am up to discussing possible collobrations with fellow creatives such as Production companies/Directors/Writers/Producers/Distributors plus Acting Talent. Long term goal would be getting future film releases into film festivals and even onto streaming platforms or physical media.

This is just something for fun at the moment but who knows what it could develop into. This is all depends if enough like minded people are willing to band together for this possible movement. Have high hopes and ambitions once the work remains a good quality that it could lead to a solid image and reputation. Plus might even turn into something marketable and profitable for all people involved. But that's not my main focus at least for now and is something that will hopefully be negotiated along the way amongst whomever.
