Sharing my thoughts from the "I Love Lizzy" movie.
-You don't need to hold on to the pain of the past. There are nights when all the painful memories will haunt you, but that doesn't mean that you'll isolate yourself from that kind of situation. You don't have to pity yourself because you're still worthy enough to live out of your pain.It makes you whole and stronger even more the moment you decide to heal and go out of the prison of your past. There is still hope.
-You can't judge someone just by looking at their lifestyle. Because sometimes the happy, jolly, and outgoing person hides the most traumatic story that no one knows. You can't just call someone a bad person just because you saw him or her hanging out with his or her friends late at night. Instead of judging them, try to respond in a most gentle way. Listen to their stories and pray for them, just like Jeff did in the movie.
-Loving is sacrificial. If you love the person, you're willing to sacrifice everything, even your happiness. Even if it hurts you the most.
-There will be a season in your life where you meet someone who makes you change for the better. This person will not stay, but surely he or she will be a big part of your life. You'll never regret meeting that person.
And lastly, my favorite lesson from the movie is that "we can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail." The character of Jeff in the movie is a reflection of a changed person who's willing to become a servant of the Lord. He pursues what God really wants for him. And I think it's a painful decision for him, but in the end, it's the most fulfilling one.
Truly, we can't escape God's plan for us. He worked everything out for our own good. Indeed, I learned so many things in this movie that really made me cry like a child.🥹🫶
