To add the the post about the 350 legend with blood trails. This one is a 30 yard shot. Doesn't matter how far the shot is, if you make a good one with the 150 gr deer season XP it will have a good blood trail. At least that's the experience I have had in the last three years. Shot Placement is key with any weapon people!

For those people questioning the 350 legend, whether it be blood trails or pass throughs this was a 190-200 yard shot. I shoot the Wi******er deer season XP 150gr.

(Please excuse the audio)This is a video I took of a buck I called back into the field AFTER he was shot. Biggest piece of advice I give to newbies when it comes to bow hunting especially…after you shoot and he’s running away, grunt. Grunt your ass off. Sometimes it slows them down, sometimes it makes them stop, and in this case he had NO IDEA he’d been hit and was coming back to fight.

Everything happens so fast after you shoot, but grunting to slow him down makes a world of difference when you’re tracking a bow hit.

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER…

We have the opportunity as Michigan residents to harvest TWO bucks….

I was lucky enough (for the first time in I can’t even remember how long) to be in a position to trophy hunt. I had 2 does and 1 buck in the freezer by 10/3. Not everyone gets that lucky or is blessed enough to have a property that produces.

Remember….2/3 of your 1.5 year olds are gonna end up at someone else’s property and never come back….

So with the gun opener coming….if you don’t have anything in the freezer yet and that 1.5 year old walks out….smoke em’ and answer to nobody.

Feed YOUR family NOT your neighbor’s.

I am beyond thankful for the opportunities I’ve had this season! But again, not everyone is as lucky as I was this year, or lucky enough to be able to pass at all! I’ve talked to more than one person today congratulating me and telling me they’ve been out every chance they’ve had and they haven’t even had the OPPORTUNITY at anything with antlers.

Big bucks are awesome, but some people have more opportunities than others…

So if you have nothing nice to say about someone’s post, then just say nothing at all and scroll on. No need to make someone feel sh*tty about a buck they’re proud of….we’re ALL ON THE SAME TEAM!!
