Hey everyone, I normally don’t post stuff like this but I think it’s important that we all help one another out whenever we can. Sometimes we don’t know how to start and so that’s where this conversation comes in.
As we know, Hawaii was recently ravaged by fire as Maui lost one of its most iconic and historic cities, Lahaina. Wow, many of us may have been there, or several of us may not have been there. The fact of the matter is that they are Americans, who are struggling and literally have lost everything.
Many of their residents are still missing, and the stories of each individual that I have seen has been horrific, having to hear what they endured, trying to escape and stay safe.
A friend of mine, with ties to the island forwarded the official Google document, where the families who are verified as affected by these horrific events, are being able to be compiled to not only share their story, but also their direct needs. Natural instinct is to give to the Red Cross, which is a valid and good organization, however, so often because of the governmental red tape, this does not filter down to the individuals to help them for quite some time.
I know not everyone has the ability to help financially, but sending support in anyway that we can to our fellow humans is extremely important. If you cannot help by aiding an individual family, please at least take the time to read through this document in the accounts each of the individuals has made, and keep these people in your prayers. If you can help them the links to do so, are provided on the document for each individual family. Also, share this document with as many people as you know.
This document is being updated in real time and more people are being added to the list as they verify that they were indeed affected by the fires. Again, please read the individual stories that are attached to each one of these and it will give you a better idea as to what the people are going through and also the direct needs .
