Fushimi- Ina ri-taisha is the top temple among the 30,000 Ina ri-jinja shrines nationwide, it is also commonly known by the familiar name Oinari-san. It is said that this temple was built in 711. The holy area is about 870,000m2, centered on Mount Ina ri-yama. Fushimi-Inari-taisha Shrine is famous for its "Zenbon Torii" tunnel with lots of bright red Torii gates within the temple grounds.

Zao Onsen ski area in Yamagata is famous for "giant snow monsters" (the trees are covered with fog and white snow). This area boasts the largest slopes in Japan. Just below the ski area is the Zao hot spring area. Just coming to this area, you will immediately feel the smell of sulfur and smoke emanating everywhere.
