Rubric "Red Book Species"

Bolivaria short-winged, or wormwood bolivaria (lat. Bolivaria brachyptera), is a species of praying mantis from the Rivetinidae family. Distributed in the Crimea, from the Volga region to the Irtysh, in the Caucasus, Transcaucasia, Asia Minor, Syria, Iran and about. Crete, in the east to western Mongolia and Central Asia. They live in grass-sagebrush deserts in combination with elements of sagebrush and saltwort deserts of the Northern Turan type, on the slopes of bayraks, ravines and hills with sparse steppe vegetation and in tugai forests. The body length of males is 34-45 mm, females - 40-53 mm. Included in the Red Book of Ukraine - vulnerable species
