Growing up I was constantly compared to everyone around me by my 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺. My achievements didn’t matter because there was always someone doing it better. When I left home I realized I had spent so much of my life/ childhood trying to be better than everyone else because I knew 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘦 would never be enough. I had lost the path the led me back to myself. I had lost the childhood dreamer, and knowledge of what I had to offer the world.
I spent most of my adult life seeing other people’s success as a threat. As a constant reminder of how inadequate I was. A constant battle that I just didn’t know how to conquer.
Enter in this group of powerful women. At first, it felt like a worst nightmare to be around so many women achieving so many incredible things. It took me months to feel like I was enough to be around them. But they were gracious, loving and so very encouraging, they taught me in the last year that we are actually stronger together. That their successes their goals their achievements were not a threat to mine but instead an inspiration. That if they could do it why couldn’t I.
Chasing dreams isn’t easy but it’s much harder if you do it alone. I am so grateful for the community and safe space that @selfeventsco and @bygeorgiamaree have created. I cannot wait to see where the dreams will take these powerful women in our walk/talk/work group and all they will accomplish. It is an honour to be at a front row seat. 🤍

I read this quote in 2021 and decided 2022 would be different.
I decided to jump fully into Busy Bee Socials as a business and not just a side hustle/hobby. Was I scared hell yea! But I just did it anyway. 🫣😅And WOW what a wild year 2022 was. Here is a look…
I started 2022 with:
-retainer clients and a few part-time clients.
-no set systems in place
- the impossible dream of getting to the point of having to register for GST.
-unable to leave the country
I ended 2022
-with 7 retainer clients 🤯
- having to register for GST
-built systems, contracts
-got a business bank account
-hired my first patch of freelancers (to meet the demands of the work)
-went to countless networking events (even though they scared me)
-and even created my first course.
And I worked from:
🇺🇸My hometown, Hawaii, San Francisco, West Palm (Florida)
🇦🇺Newcastle, Goldcoast, Sydney, all over FNQ
🇫🇷South of France
🇮🇹Bologna Italy (where I got to see my old Aupair family 🥰)
🇲🇨Monaco
🇪🇸Barcelona, and the South of Spain
🇧🇲Bermuda
