MOSOGAR JUNGL€ JUSTIC€: A CALL FOR CALM AND URGENT GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION

There is heightened t€nsion between Oghara and Mosogar in Ethiope west lga owing to what happened some few days ago when vigilantes from Mosogar led by one Hon Oki entered ijomi (Oghara) and arrested three people on the allegation of kidn∆pp1ng and later b¥rnt two of the alleged suspect.

FIRST AND FOREMOST JUNGL€ JUSTIC€ ITSELF IS UNLAWFUL AND THE ACT IS HIGHLY CONDEMNABLE. WE SHOULD ACT LAWFULLY IN OUR QUEST FOR JUSTICE NO MATTER THE PROVOCATION

But contrary to the viral claim that the two people that were b¥rnt to d€ath are indigenes of Oghara, information we gathered is that one is from Mosogar and the other is from Oghara but both of them reside in Oghara.

This is an urgent call to the Delta State Government , the traditional authorities of both Oghara and Mosogar kingdom to quickly intervened in this situation and activate all peaceful mechanism to resolve this unfortunate incident.

We also plead with the aggrieved people of Oghara to be calm and not take laws into their hands but explore lawful means in resolving this issue.

OGHARA AND MOSOGAR ARE ONE PEOPLE SO WE SHOULD HANDLE THIS ISSUE VERY WISELY

A freelance journalist Martin white ufuah claimed that he went undercover and bought an ND certificate from the Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi Uku using his name .

This institution need to clear it's name from this allegation because it will affect genuine students who have worked hard to merit their certificates

THE WARRANT CHIEFS FROM OKERE ✅

In the testimony of Dore Numa during the Agbassa land case he made reference to two warrant Chiefs from Okere, he said one is from the Olu family (jekri) so which tribe did the other Warrant Chief came from?

From the testimony, Dore Numa refer to the itsekiri people as Olu family but in reality the itsekiri people in Okere are not descendants of any Olu but they descended from Ogitsi an Ishan man who came to settled in Okere around 1880. So who was Dore Numa referring to as a Warrant Chief of Okere from the Olu family?

The person Dore Numa referred to as a Warrant Chief of Okere from the Olu family is actually Chief Oki who is also his inlaw (Dore Numa married one of Oki's daughter) Oki is paternally Urhobo a descendant of Sowhoruvwe one of the founders of Okere but maternally itsekiri (hence he linked him to be from the Olu family through his maternal heritage) and the Okere prison land originally belongs to the Oki people of Okere.

The other Warrant Chief of Okere that Dore Numa referred to in his testimony is actually Chief Okumagba Eboh the patriarch of the Okumagba family of Okere Urhobo and the head of the Olodi Oki and Ighogbadu families of Okere during that time. As head of the Olodi Oki and Ighogbadu families of Okere, Warrant Chief Okumagba Eboh and Chief Oki confronted Dore Numa pertaining his lease of the Okere prison land and the issue was resolved amicably and a new deed was made between the Okere people and the Government.(Note Dore Numa referred to Chief Oki as the latter as Chief Okumagba Eboh was given more prominence because of his position)

That was the reason in 1927 when the head of the itsekiris in Okere Nikoro by name sued the same Chief Okumagba Eboh (head of the Okere Urhobo people) claiming that the Urhobos of Okere were their tenants and the matter was brought before Dore Numa who is head of the then Native appeal court. Dore Numa ruled that the Urhobos and the itsekiris have been living side by side in Okere and without one paying rent to the other. This is due to Dore Numa's earlier experience with Chief Okumagba Eboh and he understands that the Urhobos exercise full ownership over their lands.

It is worthy to note that the same Chief Okumagba Eboh as head of the Olodi Oki and Ighogbadu families of Okere leased the Hussey College land which is just a throw stone from Okere prison.

OTOKUTU CARRY OUT CLEANSING OF THEIR COMMUNITY

When we dey offline for almost two days we received information say the leaders and people of Otokutu community carry out cleansing ceremony for the town

No store or market open that day until 3pm as the people of Otokutu nor dey happy about all the r€c€nt b∆d news when dey associated to their community so them carry out certain ceremony to cleanse ev1l from their town.

Who wan soak person for water must to enter inside water, For more than 36 hours we were having serious ch∆ll€nges with our page, though we are use to it because some people are not happy with our presence on this space.

Special thanks to one of our Sapele based brother who contacted us through our Whatsapp number and was passionately involved to see us fully restored back on this space and our kind appreciation to one of our Sapele okpe brother for stretching an helping hand.

Though we are still trying to tighten all the loose ends but one thing is certain, we have gone too far to go back. Wado City Aproko is here to stay.
