ছেলেকে দেওয়া একজন আদর্শ বাবার উপদেশঃ

১. জুতা সেলাই বা রং করতে চাইলে মেরামতকারীর দোকানের সামনে পা বাড়িয়ে দিওনা, বরং জুতাটা খুলে নিজে একবার মুছে দিও।

২. কখনও কাউকে কামলা, কাজের লোক বলে ডেকোনা। মনে রেখো তারাও কারো না কারো ভাই, বোন, মা, বাবা। তাদেরকে সম্মান দিয়ে ডেকো।

৩. বয়স, শিক্ষা, পদ বা পদবীর দিক দিয়ে কেউ ছোট হলেও কখনও কাউকে ছোট করে দেখোনা। নইলে তুমি ছোট হয়ে যাবে।

৪. পড়াশুনা করে জীবনে উন্নতি করো, কিন্তু কারো ঘাড়ে পা দিয়ে উপরে উঠার চেষ্টা করো না।

৫. কাউকে সাহায্য করে পিছনে ফিরে চেওনা, সে লজ্জা পেতে পারে।

৬. সব সময় পাওয়ার চেয়ে দেয়ার চেষ্টা করো বেশি । মনে রেখো, প্রদানকারির হাত সর্বদা উপরেই থাকে।

৭. এমন কিছু করোনা যার জন্য তোমার এবং তোমার পরিবারের উপর আঙুল ওঠে।

৮. ছেলে হয়ে জন্ম নিয়েছো, তাই দায়িত্ব এড়িয়ে যেওনা।

৯. তোমার কি আছে তোমার গায়ে লেখা নেই। কিন্তু তোমার ব্যবহারে দেখা যাবে তোমার পরিবার কোথায় আছে।

১০. কারও বাড়ি নিমন্ত্রন খেতে গেলে বাড়ি দু-মুঠো ভাত খেয়ে যেও। অন্যের বাড়ির ভাতের আশায় থেকো না।

১১. কারো বাড়ির খাবার নিয়ে সমালোচনা করো না। কেউ খাবার ইচ্ছে করে অস্বাদ করার চেষ্টা করে না।

১২. বড় হবার জন্য নয়, মানুষ হবার জন্য চেষ্টা করো।

১৩. সব সময় ভদ্র ও নম্রভাবে চলো এবং কথা বলো। কিন্তু অন্যায়ের সাথে আপোষ করোনা।
