*GNMTA CONGRATULATES DR. KWESI ASABIR, DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH. *
The Leadership of Ghana Nurse-Midwife Trainees Association (GNMTA) has taken notice of the highest award of the Ministry Of Health conferred on one of our very own *Dr. KWESI ASABIR*. This highest award conferred on him by the Ministry did not come to us as a surprise as his leadership prowess and competence speaks for it all. Having worked closely with him all this while has enlighten us on his believe in dialogue and always has his doors open to all groups of people out there. It is also worth noting that it is under his regime as HR that we have not witnessed numerous demonstrations and picketing as we have seen in the past seeking for employment. His lobbying skills and push saw to it that majority of Nurses and Midwives had their financial clearance released of which some are currently on the field fully employed.

As we celebrate him on this day, it is our utmost believe that the 2019 batch of Nurses will also be attended to in no time. Notwithstanding, as someone who is instrumental when it comes to payment of allowances for the Trainee Nurse-Midwife, it is our plea and hope to see it migrated to the Controller and Accountant General as proposed by leadership in our last meeting so that on monthly basis Trainees can receive their allowances with no hitches, Not forgetting of all National Service Personnel’s under the Ministry of Health currently undertaking their One year mandatory service will also have their financial clearance, Staff ID’s and Biometric registration done so that it can help augment their living conditions during their tenure of National Service.
We celebrate an icon we so cherish and urges all Trainee Nurses, Midwives and Rotational Nurses across the country to join us in celebrating our maestro.
May God bless you Dr. KWESI ASABIR and more wins in all your public endeavors.
Signed......

Douglas Adu Fokuo popularly known as Kofi Ghana is worried about the delay in payment of salaries and allowances and suggested that the HR system in Ghana needs some level of fixing.

Below is what he said;
"Jubilation over delayed allowances or salaries is an endorsement of inefficient HR system in the country.
HR system is a pandemic threat in Ghana and it must be fixed!"
