After trying for over a month Treasure finally used the potty this morning 💪🏾💪🏾 hoping she keeps it up 😂🥴 she’s also taking steps🙌🏾🙌🏾 more than whats in video. She was just being treasure this day 🥴🙄🤦🏾‍♀️ my little rockstar 😍😍

Treasure is pulling her vent now 🥴🥴 she’s also cruising along the couch more and more everyday 💪🏾💪🏾 last week we had a nutrition appointment and she was 19lbs 13 ounces. We’re super excited about our pulmonary and ent appointment on the 26th🙏🏾❤️

Ohhh I meant to post this yesterday.. miss thang took her speaking valve off yesterday😩😩 the day before she scooted too far from her vent and pulled her trach completely out 🥴🥴🥴 We’re sooooo ready to be freeeeeee!!!!

Well well well!!!! Treasure is amazing… as always! Doctor appointment didn’t go as planned yesterday. They’re still concerned with her weight. I can’t understand for the life of me what the problem is! Treasure was 1lb 11 ounces when she was born. She’s now 17lbs 14 ounces. She’s almost caught up to the average weight for a one year old. Treasure is very active. Treasure is getting longer. Treasure is a MICROPREEMIE!!!!! I don’t know how big they’re expecting her to be so soon. Ent didn’t give the okay to increase trials off the vent 😔😔😔 this is very upsetting for me. I’m not sure what book or studies or data they’re getting their plans from but treasure has passed all of the expectations and continues to do so. Why are they delaying my baby’s progress when she’s showing them she’s capable. Ent couldn’t answer not one of my questions yesterday as to why we couldn’t continue trials past 2 hours a day. His only response is let’s see where her weight is in a few weeks. For those of you who don’t understand why I’m so pushy.. reminder: I’m rarely staffed with nurses.. the days I don’t have a nurse (pretty often) I can barely work. My job has worked with me so many years . Through all 3 of my losses , the 10 month nicu stay with treasure, and now never having a nurse meaning I can’t perform like I need to at home. Yes I know treasure is first.. believe me she’s always first but it’s so unfair to my teammates to always have to do my job.. when they’re probably not even aware as to why. I’m so tired of always feeling like a burden. Always worrying will I have a job tomorrow. If treasure showed me she couldn’t handle things I’d proudly accept but if she’s showing me she’s no different than the next.. why are we being delayed. I’m currently researching other hospitals and lung doctors. IF any of you know any please send me information. #Road2Recovery💪🏾🙏🏾❤️

Our big girl has been pulling up on her bed rail😩😩 she’s risky in her bouncer, walker, and now bed!!! Daddy gone have to let this bed down SOON!We’re getting closer and closer to not being able to handle her and keeping her locked down!!!!As crazy as it sounds.. I’m loving every bit of it. Treasure is off the vent 1 hour twice a day starting today!!! She’s also standing really well.. long as she’s holding on to something(gotta get a video next time ) I was advised referrals has been sent and accepted for out of the home therapies now! I love our home bound therapists so I’m kind of sad but excited that we’ve met another milestone!!!keep beating the odds treasure! soooo proud of you baby 💪🏾💋

Yesterday was sooooo tiring yal! My bad for not updating yal🥴 but our girl did so amazing off her vent! annnddddd her speaking valve! I was too caught in the moment I didn’t think to record it take pictures but today we got a short video while her speech therapist was here! Treasure was off the vent from the time we made it the back until we left. Maybe 30 mins possibly 45. I’m not exaggerating when I tell y’all they’re speechless with treasure’s progress! I heard multiple times how this isn’t “normal” or how she’s not the “average” this warrior has been home almost 4 months and has had the trach 6 months! and she’s already using speaking valve and sprints off the vent 💪🏾💪🏾 Removing the Mickey button didn’t go as planned . First they were saying how she’s progressing way too fast and how they’re not comfortable with removing in case we hit a wall at some point 🙄 then they started to blame it on Treasure’s weight 🤦🏾‍♀️ Treasure was 19 lbs when she was released. She’s now 17lbs 12 ounces. She’s lost 2 lbs in almost 4 months and they’re acting like it’s the end of the world… even saying if we come back in 6 weeks and she hasn’t gained they’ll stop the trials off the vent 😒 we’re now eating mashed potatoes, all baby foods, and real fruits. if anyone has any suggestions on getting her weight up pls advise. Pls keep in mind A lot of “normal” things she may or may not be able to tolerate. But nevertheless, here’s her schedule off the vent.. 5 mins off once a day for 5 days 10 mins off once a day for 5 days 15 mins off once a day for 5 days 15 mins off twice a day for 5 days 30 mins off twice a day for 5 days 1 hour off twice a day , until appointment at 6 weeks (I have no idea why we have to start at 5 mins a day when her very first time off was 30 mins plus and she did amazing🙄) sorry bout venting lololol 😂 I’m done 😍🙌🏾🙏🏾🤞🏾

Update: Not even a week at home and treasure is already rolling all over her bed 😂🥰 She sleeps from 7ish at night until 5 ish EVERY morning 🙌🏾🙌🏾 she’s also wanting a paci more and more everyday.. per her speech therapist this will help her to learn to swallow and take more by mouth which is one of our biggest goals right now! Swallow study is scheduled for December 22nd.. I’m praying she rocks it. We’re starting to see some normalcy and we can’t be more thankful #homeatlast #micropreemie #chroniclungs #26weeker #trachlife #roadtorecovery
