An interesting fact about SMART goals: the first known use of the term was in November 1981! 😲

I have been working on my goals lately. I always knew what they "kinda" were but that is not enough! You need to go deep and get details of what you want to achieve. 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️ Here is why: motivation, focus and clarity.

So what does SMART stand for?

📌SPECIFIC📌
Sensible, certain and clear. You want to ask yourself these questions: what, why, who, where and which.

For example: I want to get my business on social media more. Why is this goal important? What do I want to get out of being on social media? Who has/should be involved? And so on. See where I am going with this?

📌MEASURABLE📌
Motivating and purposeful. Track your progress and stay motivated. How good does it feel when you know you are closer and closer to achieving your goals! Questions like how many and how much will help you with this goal.

📌ACHIEVABLE📌
Accomplishable and doable. We all wish for the moon and the stars, right? Well, I do anyway haha. But I know that this is not possible, or is it? My point is that you should dream big but make sure that it is actually doable. Sit down and ask yourself how do I actually accomplish this goal and is it realistic based on my circumstances?

📌REALISTIC📌
Reasonable and relevant. This is almost the same as achievable, but not really. This goal aims more at you and only you. Some helpful questions are: Is this the right time for me? Am I right person to reach this goal? Is it worth it?

📌TIMELY📌
Time based and time limited. Deadline, deadline and more deadline. Make sure you know what your priorities are. If you don't set a deadline, you will get sidetracked and you might never finish what you started.

I bet you think I've lost the plot 😂

Well, not totally.... 🤪

Let me explain. 👇

This is actually a Czech saying - that is translated word for word. I love doing that because it sounds sooo funny! This actually means:

"STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND GET ON WITH IT!"

I think my way of saying it is way better though, don't you think? 😂

So my advice is: stop asking yourself all the what ifs and if onlys... ✋ These are simply stopping you from moving forward because:

What if = fear
If only = excuse

The fact is that you are never going to be more ready than you are now. So this is my way of encouraging you to go for it, do it!! 👍🤗👍

Let me know if there are some idioms that make you laugh whether they are English ones or translated word for word from another language.

Today is known as a Blue Monday - the most depressing day of the year. 😥

Reach out to people whether if you are struggling or you think they might need that phone call. Sometimes that's all we need. A simple phone call from a friend/family, not because you need something but simply because you just want to know how they are doing.🥰

I know I will be making a few calls today. Not only do I want to know they are OK, but I always feel better after talking to my loved ones. 🤗

We should of course reach out at any day of the year, if we feel sad/down or generally not happy within ourselves. I know that everyone is different but for me personally, if I talk about it, I feel much better afterwards. 🥰

I created these logos yesterday. Although, this is not my expertise, I had fun doing it. 🥰 They are very different but that's only because my client wasn't really sure what she was after. I was just told what colours to use and voila.

Well, i didn't at first.... Then I saw it and I was absolutely mortified! I was thinking how could I make such a silly mistake?!

Then I realised that it's ok to make mistakes! Because it's not the mistake that matters. It's how you deal with it, what you learn from it, and how you apply the lesson to your life.

So don't be hard on yourself when somethinglike this happens to you. 💞🥰💞

Breathe in and breathe out... Count to 5 when you inhale and count to 5 when you exhale. Do this for a minute.
