To celebrate the 50th anniversary of 'The Golden Voyage of Sinbad' (and the 50th episode of our podcast!) we reunited two of the stars of this classic film! Listen as Caroline Munro (Margiana) and Kurt Christian (Haroun) reminisce on working with Ray Harryhausen in 1973, sharing behind-the-scenes stories and treasured memories.

Hosted by Foundation Trustee John Walsh and Collections Manager Connor Heaney, listen in as both actors reflect on Ray's legacy, decades after their work with him. Kurt would also star in 'Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger', and happily discusses his villainous turn as Prince Rafi. Foundation trustee John Walsh and collections manager Connor Heaney are joined by Ray’s daughter Vanessa Harryhausen to chat with Brian for a double-length interview. A visual effects artist whose work includes also such classics as Superman, The Dark Crystal, Dune, the James Bond series, Aliens and much more besides, Brian assisted Ray Harryhausen during the making of Clash of the Titans.

Listen to exclusive anecdotes as Brian shares his behind-the-scenes memories of working with Ray, and on the creation of visual effects for this iconic 1981 film. A must for all fans of ‘Clash of the Titans’, Ray Harryhausen and filmmaking!

Ray's daughter Vanessa Harryhausen and Collections Manager Connor Heaney chat with Aardman archivists Tom Vincent and Zoe Critchley about their important work in taking care of such legendary stop-motion creations. Aardman's founder Peter Lord also joins for a discussion on Ray's ongoing legacy, and the importance of keeping such valuable items for future generations to enjoy.

We chatted with the legendary actor about what it was like to be a part of one of Ray's classic movies. John reminisced about on-set incidents, his experiences of the Dynamation process from an actor's point of view, and his thoughts on the film more than five decades later. As an actor, writer, painter and raconteur, John always made for a fascinating listen, and will be much missed.

Marking Ray's birthday on the 29th of June, the winners of this year's awards were announced at the Cameo Cinema in Edinburgh. Collections Manager Connor Heaney hosted, as judges Vanessa Harryhausen, John Walsh and Steve Henderson announced our winners. We were delighted to share recorded messages from Pinocchio Movie directors Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson, who kindly spoke about their love of Ray Harryhausen's creations.

Former Stranglers vocalist Hugh visited the Ray Harryhausen: Titan of Cinema exhibition at the National Galleries of Scotland last year. Whilst at the exhibit, he interviewed daughter & Foundation trustee Vanessa Harryhausen to discuss her memories of growing up around Ray's films and creations. Hugh also spoke to conservator Alan Friswell about working with Ray, and about the restoration work carried out on the creature collection. Collections Manager Connor Heaney also spoke to Hugh about his favourite Harryhausen memories and his thoughts on Ray's creation today.
