Have you popped over to our YouTube or streaming platforms to listen to our new Aural Narratives. A new project we are working on to provide atmospheric and ambient soundscapes to read, work, study, dream, sleep, and create to. Head on over to listen to our latest: A rainy evening in the bookstacks.
You have returned home after a long day and take off your rain sodden boots, for now it's time to wind down in the study. Settle in with some books from your personal library stacks and while away the evening as the rain pours down over roof and windowpane. In the other room, you overhear the hushed sounds of your reclusive neighbor gently playing their guitar like a personal concert just for you. Brew a cup of tea, light your candles, and let the cloak of night richly settle upon your shoulders.
This video is a little auditory teaser for what is in store.
A trip into the woods turned into the perfect opportunity to share the beautiful poem “The Mushroom Hunters” by Neil Gaiman. With our Narrator Old Growth Alchemy when she wasn’t wandering off after sweet fern and our Bard Joe Sabourin Music in his natural habitat. We had a wonderful time with the ambience and hope to have more of these lovely clips for you.
Our blog has Behind the Episode posts where we dig a little deeper into some of the history of the tales. Also, as you may have noticed, we decided to make our Behind the Story episodes become Bonus Episodes. We won’t have them every week, so watch for them as special treats every now and again! This week we linked to some more of Kay Nielsen’s illustrations as well as some more stories to check out if East of the Sun and West of the Moon tickled your fancy.
Did you miss me?
Come and kiss me.
An excerpt from this week’s episode of The Goblin Market! Have you listened yet? We also have a blog post up for a sneak behind the episode. Each episode has one that immediately proceeds it as a Behind the Story where we chat a bit about making the episode plus some of our research, interpretations, and a few interesting in depth inquiries into the nature of storytelling or what we can take away from the tale. Our Behind the Episode is where we continue the conversation on our website and invite you to join in! Hope to see you there.
Have you checked out the website yet? We’ve made a blog post to correspond with each episode that goes a little more in depth to either the story, our thoughts behind the tale, the recording and live composition process, and other fun additions! Not sure where to go? Check out this video and join us in the chatter about Widdershins! .

Ligeia’s story post was written by @joesabourinmusic and the first two by @oldgrowthalchemy. Let us know what you think! Is there anything else you want to hear about in these Behind the Episode peeks?
We have some really exciting stories coming up for you in the next few weeks. This week? Deep cut Poe (or maybe not so deep cut if you are a Poe fan) but already having dreams about the episodes beyond that. Is there anything you’re interested in hearing?
