One day a man slaughtered a fat bull and roasted it well, afterwards he told his brother :

" GO OUT AND INVITE OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS TO COME EAT THE BEEF WITH US."

The brother went out and shouted :
" OH PEOPLE HELP! HELP!!
A FIRE IS CONSUMING OUR HOME!!!"

Soon people came out of their homes but some pretended they didn't hear anything. Those who entered the house found themselves in front of a feast where they ate and drank until they were satsfied.
Later the man turned amazed to his brother, and asked him :

" BUT THOSE WHOM YOU INVITED, I DON'T KNOW THEM NOR HAVE SEEN THEM BEFORE. SO WHERE ARE OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS WHOM I ASKED YOU TO CALL?"

The brother replied :
" THESE ARE OUR FRIENDS, THE ONES WHO CAME OUT OF THEIR HOMES TO RESCUE US TO PUT OUT THE FIRE IN OUR HOUSE. THEY DIDN'T EVEN EXPECT TO COME FIND FOOD."

LESSON:
Know that those who are only with you when they have a need and ignore you when you need them are not worthy to be considered your friends. LET'S BE OUR BROTHER'S KEEPER IN SPIRIT AND IN DEED.

A father said to his son, "You graduated with honours, here is a car that I acquired many years ago... it is several years old. But before I give it to you, take it to the used car lot downtown and tell them I want to sell it and see how much they offer you."
The son went to the used car lot, returned to his father and said, "They offered me $1,000 because it looks very worn out." The father said, "Now take it to the pawnshop."
The son went to the pawnshop, returned to his father and said, "The pawnshop offered $100 because it was a very old car." Then the father asked his son to go to a car club and show them the car.
The son took the car to the club, returned and told his father, “Some people in the club offered $100,000 for it since it is a Nissan Skyline R34, an iconic car and sought after by many."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The father said to his son, "I wanted you to know that the right place always values you the right way. If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. Those who know your value are those who will appreciate you."

In helping others, you help yourself.

A wise teacher once brought balloons to school, told her pupils to blow them up and write their name on one. After the children tossed their balloons into the hall, the teacher moved through the hall mixing them all up.

The kids were given five minutes to find the balloon with their name on it, but though they searched frantically, no one found their own balloon.

Then the teacher told them to take the balloon closest to them and give it to the person whose name was on it. In less than two minutes, everyone was holding their own balloon.

The teacher said to the children, “These balloons are like happiness. We won't find it when we're only searching for our own. But if we care about someone else's happiness...it will ultimately help us find our own.”
