Thank you for the really fun weekend, Art To Cart! 💘 Never really thought I would be able to experience to attend such event as an exhibitor! (Finally?! It was just something I wished for before!!) 🥹

I really enjoyed my first ever art market experience! Thank you to my lovely friend and tablemate, babablackhole for encouraging me! 🤓 It was so fun and I’m so glad I had the chance to meet most of my art mutuals personally! I even made new art friends!

Really appreciate everyone who swung by our table (TABLE 185)! It was a very fulfilling moment for me to see people looking at my artworks, buying my stickers, and telling their friends “Ikaw ‘to diba?”, “Uy bilhin mo ‘to, ganito ka e.”, “Send ko ‘to kay–“ and laughing right after whenever they see designs they can all relate to. I’m so happy! 🥹💛

My mom and dad would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary today, but unfortunately, my dad passed away in 2021. Since I believe that my parents and their hearts will always be connected, I came up with a way to still celebrate this. The agony of losing a parent never really goes away; you just learn to live with it. You still yearn for them, even in your dreams.

Just like the song you’ve always sung in the karaoke, you painted the best love you can give in our hearts. You decorated our lives in the most wonderful way. With your quirks, your humurous remarks, your lessons about life, your dedication, and for doing the best effort you can at being a father.

Goodbye 2022, it was a really good journey! Hello there, 2023! Get ready for me! 👋🏻 We’ve made it this far and I just want to let you know that you did great this year, you’ve come so far. You actually made it! 🥰 A lot of times you told yourself you wanted to give up but here you are, still standing strong and anticipating what’s to come for all the tomorrows that will come.

For sure, there are plans that didn’t happen but that’s alright, 2023 is surely going to open new doors for greater opportunities for all of us. A lot of disappointments, rejections, failures, and brokenness have happened this 2022 but do your best to not dwell in all of it. Hello! It’s been a week and I got really busy with college stuff and now I’m back! Sharing with you another commissioned artwork I got from a local client from the blue bird app. 🫶🏻

I rarely get commissioned for full body artworks but when I did, I got really happy and enjoyed the illustration process of this one so much! I felt really fulfilled when I finished this one and I love that this art piece is about how women’s rights are also human rights which is definitely TRUE.

I’m happy that I get to see myself improve for everyday and that I can express who I am and what I want my clients to feel with my art. With so much gratefulness in my heart, thank you so much to my clients for letting me work with you! ❤️✍🏻

You’re on your own kid, you always have been. 🎈

Losing loved ones, seeing my parents grow old, detaching myself from everyone and everything I once loved, hating myself for wrong decisions, being fed up by how tough life is, and just talking to myself at 3 am, thinking if I'll ever be enough and if my dreams are enough to keep me going and trying. Sometimes it feels like the world is on my shoulders, but the truth is, here I am, taking over the world with my little and not so special existence.

Growing up takes a lot of courage, and accepting that things wouldn't be the same anymore really hurt. I'm not a little kid anymore. I have always grappled with the fact that as I grow older, I'll be alone, but I realized that I have always been alone up to the point that I face struggles, keep a part of them, and hold on to them until they become a part of me.

So this is me in my 20s, and when I get older, I'll probably read this again, and I hope that all the ghosts that have been hunting me will be faced and defeated by then.

Turning loneliness into peaceful solitude will be a very long, frustrating, and hate-and-love-myself-at-the-same-time kind of journey.

But hey, being on your own isn't always a bad thing. Most of the time, it just shows you how strong you are and how stronger you will be.

It was my first time to illustrate an LGBTQ couple and all I felt was pure love, realness, happiness, and acceptance. It was a fun and enjoyable experience! hi, it’s me, i’m the problem, it’s me.

i can’t help but think if all my insecurities are here to make me even stronger for all the tomorrows that will come or is it just one of the many things that will make me weaker along the way.

i wonder if all of my scars will fully heal, i wonder if all the pain will vanish or did i just get used to how it felt that it made me so numb.

i wonder if all the efforts i made to not gain weight and to be liked by other people are even worth it, i’m not even sure if all things i did to punish myself for all the decisions i didn’t like taught me something or no lessons learnt at all…

i can never really look myself in the mirror without noticing all the ugly parts of me and it slowly creeps inside, making me forget about the “somehow” beautiful things that i have…

i wonder if i really changed or is this just another facade?

i wonder if i’m ever good enough or i won’t be at all…

i always felt like pierced through the heart but never killed. same cycle goes on.

it’s exhausting to be always rooting for the ugly part of me no matter how i tried to appreciate the other.

maybe i’m the hero, maybe i’m not, maybe i’m not somebody at all…

am i really the problem or is it all the negative things at the back of my mind?

i’m not entirely sure…

will i ever know?

〝Grandparents, a combination of warmth and kindness, laughter and love.〞

[shares appreciated] — A client reached out to me and wanted to get an illustration done for her grandparents for her grandma's birthday. ❤️ I was more than delighted to work on it so I accepted the commission right away and we talked about it! 🤩

She wanted a lot of details and I was game! I was sure that I could do it, I was sure that I would enjoy bringing her grandparents’ picture into my art style and giving it life by using colors and creativity.

I am really satisfied with my work and so is my client! 🥰 The little details that symbolize the things her grandmother love, the favorite "daster" in color yellow, and the flowers behind her that symbolizes timeless beauty and pureness. The pair commission showing the love and sweetness between the two, a love that does not get old, only stronger. 🫶🏻

oct 2022 update 🤍 — bought (4) 25kg rice sacks, noodles, and canned goods tonight. all of these will be given to the less fortunate within cavite (specifically imus or dasma).

(i know that) it isn’t much compared to the number of people within the whole province of cavite (and the whole world) that need help with their every day needs but i want to celebrate my birthday by doing this instead of having the same celebration i do every year.

a little kindness may brighten someone’s day or may also be an aswered prayer to some. 🫶🏻
