In the digital age, where less is often more, remember to curate rather than inundate. Overposting? It’s the social media equivalent of being the guest who overstays their welcome. Believe it or not, flooding your followers with daily dispatches (or heaven forbid, more!) can turn your audience from keen to queasy. 🚫📈

Here's the rub: constant updates, especially if they're not Earth-shattering, risk not just irritation but invisibility. Your pièce de résistance gets lost in the noise, and what's worse, the algorithm might just sideline you. The result? Your reach contracts faster than a wool jumper in a hot wash.😅

If you're noticing more tumbleweeds than engagement in your notifications, it might be time to ease off the accelerator. 📉💔

As a social media manager you may think “hmm she doesn’t post much on her account” 🤔

And you’d be right! 😅
To be honest I’m too busy (which is a blessing and a curse as my fellow biz owners would agree)

BUT… I still gain business through my not-so-active account. How? 👇🏼

✅ I use my stories frequently to show off my personal brand
✅ I have a consistent brand image which helps me stand out and be recognised
✅ I make sure to use my socials as a way to keep in contact with clients, business friends and my ideal clients - AKA the busy woman’s engagement hack* more about this later in the week

The thing is, social media is more than posting some pictures and calling it a day. It’s about gaining connections, creating a buzz about your business offers, and sharing a window into what working with you is like.

So even though I don’t focus on vanity metrics such as followers and likes, I know that my business gains a steady increase of clients and business through my realistic insta strategy. ✨

Happy New Year! ✨
Last year was…. interesting 😮‍💨
But onwards and upwards! This year I've gone from being a sole trader to an actual company 😲 which is very very scary 😅

But my goals for 2024 are to get out there and attack every opportunity that comes my way. From being more consistent with my own social media and creating even more content for myself and clients than ever before! 📸

I live for Instagram stories because they're like an express train to connect with my followers and fuel my biz. ⚡️🚂

Here are my top three:
1️⃣ Wake up and smell the coffee with a happy "Good morning" story and share what's on your to-do list for the day.

2️⃣ Share the magic behind the curtain with a sneak peek of your workspace or a raving review from a happy client. They'll feel like a fly on the wall of your business, and let’s face it we’re all nosey!

3️⃣ Get personal and share a quirky story about your daily life. Maybe it's your coffee-making routine or a story about your chair. We're all about the spontaneous vibe!

And to keep your peeps hooked🪝, don't shy away from showing your personality and gorgeous face! 🤩 And if you're new to the Stories game, start with easy-peasy photos and Boomerangs. You don't need to impress Gen Z with fancy stuff.

Oh, and when using stickers, keep them simple and fun. Ask a question like, "Pineapple on pizza: yay or nay?" and watch the votes pour in. And don't be afraid to let your Stories rest once a week to recharge your batteries and keep your views soaring high. 🛩

By giving your followers a backstage pass and keeping them engaged with fun questions and polls, you'll boost your biz and have a blast doing it! 🥰

🎮 Let's play a game, shall we?

📱 The age-old question of what makes a great social media post has puzzled many. But worry not, for I have some tips up my sleeve! Firstly, consistency is key. 🗝 Avoid posting sporadically and aim for a steady stream of content. Secondly, avoid posting meaningless content like a random Google image or a flower with no context. Instead, aim to entertain, educate or inspire your followers.

👥 Now, the million-dollar question - how can you gain followers? Sure, you can buy them, but let me tell you, it's not the best strategy. A sudden surge of followers without any real reason or strategy is pointless. Instead, focus on building a genuine connection with your audience. Engage with them, post consistently, and then, if all else fails, you can give buying fakes a shot. But be warned, not all fakes are created equal!

📝 Your Instagram bio is your first impression, make it count! Use every character wisely.

💸 And lastly, if you have the budget, running ads can be a great way to boost growth. But remember, no ugly ads, please! They can harm your reputation.
