This indicates that people in CNM comprised 2.6% of the initial sample (all NSSHB respondents, including participants who were not in relationships and were thus excluded from the analyses below). Gay/lesbian and bis*xual participants were less likely to report monogamy and more likely to report both CNM and NCNM (p < .001); indeed, these participants collectively comprised only 5% of the initial sample, but 38% of the CNM subgroup.
