New discovery 🎞️ Hors d’Haleine

🎬 Film description: When Emma has to leave her picture-perfect life for a women’s shelter, her unlikely friendship with a ragtag group of women pushes them all into a fight to take back their power.

The “Hors d’Haleine” evoked a lot of emotions in me, so I’ll elaborate. ⤵️

This movie raises a number of social issues that are still present in our society. Women have to make difficult choices that are not always easy to overcome. Although all women have different backgrounds, they have similar problems.

Often, it’s a lack of self-belief and self-esteem, the need to learn languages, find oneself and build a new career, a diploma that cannot be recognized in Luxembourg, and you become nobody. This story touched me because it resonates with my own. A story where, after moving, I fell into a deep emotional pit and had to rebuild my personality from scratch. And here I am, still here after 10 years.

Life can unfold in different ways, but the most important thing is to have support. The film brilliantly reveals the theme of women supporting 🫂each other, no matter what. And I want to believe that every woman’s fate will be filled with love and joyful days again.
