- stop wasting all those plastic water bottles and drink from your tap!!
2. Air Purifier and Dehumidifier
- we use this air purifier from and it works great! We don’t have to worry about that smoky smell from neighbors campfires!
- we also use a large dehumidifier to help keep mold from growing inside of our RV!
3. Washer / Dryer combo unit
- this was a deal breaker for us. We HAD to have a vented washer / dryer combo unit for our RV! It works great and actually dries our clothes!

- we waited 2 years to add this upgrade and wish we did it sooner!! We were afraid we would lose space but it’s the complete opposite!!

We are Chris, Amanda and our 2 daughters! We sold everything and moved into our RV to travel full-time in July 2021. Before doing that, we had never camped in an RV before....and only tent camped a few times! 🏕️
We had no clue what we were doing, but we knew we wanted to do it!
Chris and our oldest daughter both live with Type 1 Diabetes, so that was a big concern and something that held us back from making the decision to travel full-time for almost a year! Luckily, we decided to finally just jump in and figure it out as we went.
We both work remotely as content creators and travel agents. Chris also does freelance Sales work!
We travel full-time in our 2022 Grand Design Solitude 3950BH-R! We primarily stay at full hook up campgrounds, but in 2024 we are making some upgrades to our rig to allow us to boondock and be off-grid more frequently!🌌

Chris worked remotely as a Mortgage Consultant for the first year and a half of our travels. In Dec. 2022 Chris lost his job and we decided to go full-time on this social media / content creation stuff! Along with that we also own a travel agency!
We travel full-time in our 2022 Grand Design Solitude 3950BH-R! We primarily stay at full hook up campgrounds, but in 2024 we are making some upgrades to our rig to allow us to boondock and be off-grid more frequently!🌌

This was our first time visiting any type of National Park or anything within the National Park System.
It was the first time we were able to use our National Park Access pass!
This was taken on August 7, 2021 just less than a month into our full-time RV journey!
Fast forward to now and we have visited only 12 actual National Parks, but over 50 locations in the National Park system (National monuments, libraries, battlefields, etc).
We have our route planned for 2024 and we plan on knocking off at least 20 more National Parks this year!

Living in an RV can feel tight at times.

These were a couple of the most nerve racking, scariest days of our lives!
June 5, 2021 - We left our home in PA to drive 2.5 hours to MD to pick up our custom ordered 2021 RAM 3500 Dually!
Why did we have to drive to Maryland? Well, there were no other trucks available and this was the only dealership that could get us a truck delivered in time to pick up our RV in August.....well, we thought August!
Chris had NEVER driven a truck before. Our Jeep Compass was the largest vehicle he had ever driven up to this point.
And now, he had to drive 2.5 hours through windy backroads and then major highways with the largest vehicle he has ever seen!
True Story - about 15 minutes into picking up the truck Chris called me and said, “I can’t do this. I’m just turning back and returning the truck. This is too much. We made a mistake!”
I talked him down, and we made it home and then he said, “It wasn’t that bad then.”
Fast forward a month....
July 13, 2021 - Not only was this day our 8th wedding anniversary, it’s also the day that our RV is ready for pickup! We were given a call 3 days prior saying, hey, your RV came in a month early and is ready for pickup, you have to pick it up within 72 hours!
The panic set in for Chris!
Well, in photo 2 here we are all hitched up for the very first time and Chris never towing anything in his life, was very anxious, having a panic attack, but was able to figure it all out.
In photo 3, here we are at our very first campsite and unloading the truck and starting to put everything into the RV!
Only Chris spent that first night in the RV just so he could get it prepared for us all the next day.
The girls and I came to the RV first thing in the morning on July 14, 2021 and that was the end of our old life and the beginning of our new life.
Why did we type this long message?
Well, if you are struggling with the decision to do more with your life but you are afraid, don’t be, you will be fine, trust us!

We recently had the opportunity to attend a bowling event put on by Touched By Type 1 which is a non-profit dedicated to helping find a cure and connect those with Type 1 Diabetes. We have attended multiple Zoom meetings and virtual events with this organization and finally had the chance to do something in person!
We are here to tell you and show you that you can do this.

Traveling with 2 people with diabetes also means we have to make some accommodations when we do go out to eat. When going to breakfast we always bring our own thing of sugar-free syrup because not every place has it. Or if they do, it doesn’t get used often and has been open for a long time! 🤢 We also use a little bit of agave syrup instead sometimes! Do NOT make these same mistakes, learn from our lessons! 3 lessons that I’ve learned in 3 full years of traveling full-time. 1. Not everyone will share your same excitement for this lifestyle...but you know what.... who cares! You may not share the same excitement for the things that bring their family joy, but does it matter? Nope! Don’t get upset when people don’t share in your excitement. 2. The memories we have created as a family are priceless and worth every minute of the journey. We always hear “your kids won’t even remember it”..... sure, maybe some things they may not remember, but we can see the excitement and happiness on their face during it. 3. Not everyday is going to be an amazing adventure, some days will be boring, some days will just be laying around the RV. But you know.... it’s totally OK! I thought that we had to always be on the go, always doing something, always adventuring....but that doesn’t work. You will burn yourself out quickly....very quickly! Some times we have to get creative for getting mail on the road, but luckily there is an Amazon Locker somewhere nearby. We utilize these when we want to order some of our favorite foods and snacks that we may not be able to find while we are traveling. We can usually find these Joy Days cookies at a local Walmart, but when we can’t, Amazon it is! Here is a tip for buying anything RV related…. In order to buy something for our RV, it needs to pass 1 of our 2 rules.. Rule 1 - must have multiple uses Rule 2 - must be stackable / nesting or easily storable So that leads us to our 5 must have RV kitchen items Nesting mixing / storage bowls - we use these to mix for baking or marinating meats. We then also use them for leftovers. When we are done, they nest and store easily ✅ Nesting colanders - why do we need more than one? Well sometimes we somehow end up using several at a time depending on what we are cooking so these nest and store easily ✅ Ninja Foodi - everyone should own one of these things! It’s in all in one so it is our slow cooker, rice cooker, air fryer, and more! It is large but we have a storage place for it when we’re done, but it has over 10 uses for us! ✅ Collapsible drying rack - finding a place to dry the dishes can be annoying in the RV so this works great! Once the dishes are dry overnight, we put them away, fold the rack back up and store it away so it doesn’t become an eye sore throughout the day! ✅ Electric cooktop - we don’t like cooking with our propane stove (especially when it’s 90+ degrees out) so we use this electric cooktop. We can also take it outside to use it when we want to cook messier things so we don’t ruin our RV kitchen! We simply store it away in our oven (since we have never once used that). ✅ What is one RV kitchen must have for you?
