updates its CT5-V sports sedans for the 2025 model year, including the hardcore Blackwing.⁠

Like the previous editions, the new CT5-V sedan is Cadillac’s full size sports flagship, with a ton of power and performance to back it up. For the CT5-V, owners get a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 that’s good for 360 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. The power is routed through the brand’s 10-speed automatic gearbox – the only option for the CT5-V.⁠

For the bigger, meaner CT5-V Blackwing however, things once again get really spicy. Like its predecessor, the engine is a colossal 6.2L supercharged V8 that outputs 668 hp. Obviously catering to enthusiasts, the Blackwing is optionable with a six-speed manual transmission; a rarity these days in cars in general, let alone something with a giant V8 and power north of 600 horsepower.⁠

DAS TREFFEN, Southeast Asia’s largest sports car gathering, celebrated the automaker’s 75th anniversary, the Porsche 911’s 60th year, and Porsche’s 30-year presence in Thailand.

The event’s 8th edition took place at the IMPACT Lakeside in Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok where attendees got to see, for the first time, all seven limited-edition 911 Carrera GTS – 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition sports cars, in addition to the Carrera GT inspired 718 Spyder ‘000,’ also known as the ‘Triple Zero.’

Hosted by , this year’s event saw a new record in attendance, with over 618 Porsche cars brought to the show and 2,618 total attendees.

“The end goal is always the same. We want people to have fun, to go home happy, having had a cool day with their friends, driving their favorite cars and enjoying themselves,” said the event’s creator .

The new collaboration drops in line with the iconic artist's 100th anniversary, seeing the brands honor his legacy by interpreting the car's designs in various garments, accessories, and a pair of suede sneakers.

For Las Vegas, the Palace Kappa collection introduces skate and streetwear to the BWT Alpine F1 team, in a 10-piece apparel line up. Highlight items include both a pit jacket and a rain jacket, while highly popular top-and-bottom tracksuits – synonymous for Palace – are available in vibrant black and blue with pink accents. The drop also includes dual-branded hoodies and tees, as well as 9FIFTY curved brim driver caps. ⁠

As for the race, both Alpine drivers and will don the collaboration on their custom-made racesuits, as they race their unique Palace-liveried A523 car made exclusively for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.⁠

Taco and Tundra heads unite: is collaborating with Racing Development for a 🔥 collection.⁠

The TRD x HUF drop consists of an assortment of apparel and accessories, all donning the iconic “TRD” typography and various logos from the brand’s history. From work jackets and hoodies to tees, fleeces and even a cozy knit sweater, the streetwear-focused collaboration puts a heavy emphasis on the off-road capable Toyota trucks that has made TRD a household name.⁠

Two “rival” hypercars are up for auction by the same seller on : the Enzo and its sister MC12.⁠

For those who are unaware, the Ferrari Enzo and Maserati MC12 share a similar platform and while both are incredible at what they stand for – unfiltered performance and presence – there are cult followings for both. Nevertheless, dealership wants you to have all options on which to pick. ⁠
⁠
While the Ferrari Enzo is clad in its Corsa Rosso suit and a luxe tan lining, the Maserati is in its synonymously two-toned Bianco Fuji exterior and a matching all-blue interior. Both featured the same engine – a 6.0L naturally-aspirated V12 mounted in the middle – good for 624 horsepower in the MC12 and 660 for the Enzo. ⁠
⁠
As for other differences, the MC12 is actually a bit longer and wider than the Enzo in dimensions – 30 centimeters, according to Piston Heads. Additionally, the Ferrari is actually more common than the MC12: 400 units of the Enzo were produced, compared to just 50 ever made of the Maserati.⁠

In their second collaborative release, and .kiteboarding tap into the world-famous 917/20 coupé – better known as "Pink Pig"– to craft a new kite and board set.

Dressed in the same soft pink hue that appears on the 1971 racing car, the limited-edition pieces are a like-for-like interpretation of the design. They also feature similar red track lines, typography and the original 23 starting number.

The new set will drop in an assortment of kite sizes including 7m, 9m and 12m while the board comes in 138cm.

Like the first collaboration, Porsche and Duotone have announced a portion of the proceeds of this collection will be donated to Young Blood, a youth support program dedicated to the rising talent in kitesurfing.

Contemporary artist unveils his latest creation: a collabo with .⁠

The duo have conceptualized upon Arsham’s signature eroded style of model making, around both a 911 930 Turbo and a “Rodger Dodger” Charger SE. Both die-cast cars are shaped using Silkstone in 1:64 size, and are housed in custom-made acrylic cases with Arsham branding.⁠
⁠
The collaboration is part of an eight-car collection titled “Laps”, with more releases dropping weekly. A Hot Wheels-synonymous Super Rally Case is also part of the collection, arriving in eroded fashion as well. Lastly, additional accessories – keychains, pins, posters and more – will also be made available.⁠
⁠
The Daniel Arsham x Hot Wheels® Laps collection will first drop on October 27 on the Mattel Creations website. A public event is also slated for Oct. 21 in NYC.⁠

There's a lot going on with GT cars, now that there's a 'rennsport' edition. Let's review.⁠

The Porsche GT cars, headed by department lead aka "Mr. GT," have been the pinnacle of ultra-high-performance vehicles with a Porsche crest. And with its latest addition – the GT3 R rennsport that was just announced at Rennsport Reunion 7 – it's a bit difficult to wrap your head around all of them. Some are tuned to be "softer" and driven long distance while others are pro driver only, but nevertheless these are the cars that have the brand diehards clamoring for an ultimate driver's car... if they can get an allocation for one.⁠

For 60 years old, the DB5 is one serious sports car that can still hold its own.⁠
⁠
We were given a very rare chance to drive a 1963 Aston Martin DB5 over at the AM headquarters, to celebrate the iconic sports car's 60th anniversary. Even though we were highly jetlagged and fairly unfamiliar with the intricacies of driving on the "wrong" side of the road and car, the 'most famous car in the world' was seriously impressive.⁠

Early Look: This is the new 2024 Model 3. ⁠
⁠
Since the 2024 model year is considered a "refresh" or "facelift" year, the changes are quite minimal to the current Model 3. The most drastic change comes at the front, where the front face is cleaner: the headlights have thinned, the fog lamps at the bottom corners have been deleted, and new LED daytime running lights are smoother. A straight bumper line as well invokes the original Tesla Roadster's sleek front look.⁠
⁠
The rear end also receives a clean up, mainly with the tail lights that now have a sharper hook design that's no longer cut down the middle. The rear lower bumper now also has a diffuser-esque panel that borrows from the Model X. New wheels complete the redesign, coming in at both 18" and 19" varieties.⁠
⁠
Inside, the refinements are minimal as well, with deletion of steering stalks, improved acoustic glass and a new 17-speaker arrangement making the largest headlines. The rear also now gets a small 8" touchscreen that will contain air controls, but can also play videos and even allow for video games for the rear passengers.⁠

No powertrain or battery changes have been employed, and reports are claiming the same goes for range expectations.⁠
⁠
This Tesla news hit first for European markets and Australia, with US news and production expectations coming soon.⁠ According to reports however, it does seem the pricing has increase but hard figures have not been finalized or converted for the US.

The age of manual transmissions and engaged, spirited driving has slowly been dying – some automakers however highly disagree.⁠

This summer, we were pleasantly surprised with the selection of sports cars from automakers who insisted on using manual transmissions for their sports cars. From humble global brands like Toyota and Ford, to luxury names like Aston Martin, and even an indie restomod company, automakers want to remind its consumers that manuals provide a connection between driver and machine that simply can't be replicated with tuning, mechanisms, and definitely not software.⁠
⁠
In an era of gear-less electric propulsion dominating the market, torque converter automatics improving and even dual-clutches being obsolete, it would seem the market has no place for manual transmissions. Let's change that.⁠

Ever since he was an employee of the original Union location in SoHo, NYC, has educated the community with the products it offers, and does this by prioritizing curation and story telling.⁠

Such is the case with Gibbs' tastefully refurbished 1992 Range Rover, in its custom Arizona Tan exterior, safari-esque functional equipment, white wheels and more. Gibbs respectfully "steals" the car from his wife but thankfully treats the Range how it should be treated: as a daily.⁠

has unveiled the 718 Spyder RS and let's not mess around – it's awesome.⁠
⁠
What could be considered a "Convertible" GT4 RS, the Spyder RS fulfills that open-top need while maintaining the absolutely hardcore 9000rpm 4.0L flat-six derived from the 911 GT3. Power is uncompromised as well, keeping the 4RS figures of 493 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque intact. Even the air scoops – located at the rear quarter windows on the GT4 RS – are translated over, positioned just aft of the bucket seats for the maximum induction noise possible with the roof off. And compared to the 718 Spyder, the RS shaves 79 lbs. off its curb weight. ⁠
⁠
Perhaps the only thing that separates this from the 4RS is that the chassis combines elements of it and the 718 Spyder: Porsche state the spring and damper settings are slightly reduced to provide a convertible style ride characteristic. But otherwise, for all intents and purposes the Spyder RS is a Cayman GT4 RS with the roof cut off.⁠

is seriously upping its game in the design department, and the latest Corolla Nightshade Editions are the latest example of that.⁠

The Nightshade Edition vehicles amp up the attitude for the SE grade vehicles in Sedan, Hatchback and Hybrid offerings. For the three, bronze-finished wheels accent exterior color pairings, while blacked out badging and grilles give more of a discreet aggression to the cars' designs. ⁠
⁠
Pulling inspiration from the enthusiast-focused GR Corolla, the Nightshades also feature a blacked-out roof that's not dissimilar to GR Corolla Circuit and Morizo's forged carbon. The Nightshade hatchback even has a vented rear roof wing that is very comparative to the one on the GR Corolla Circuit Edition.⁠

According to publication , The N Vision 74 Concept – which was unveiled Last July – is the South Korean brand's retro-futuristic sports coupe that took global auto show audiences by storm. Now, Hyundai is reportedly preparing to mass produce the vehicle as the revised "Pony Coupe." The original Pony Coupe was a turning point for the brand and has even been credited as inspiring the iconic DeLorean DMC 12 with their similar flat-nosed boxy design elements.⁠

The mass production of the Pony Coupe is purportedly being announced on May 27, "Pony Day" in Seoul, South Korea.⁠

will enter the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for the first time ever with its highly modified A110.⁠

The A110 Pikes Peak is loosely based on the A110 sports car for the road, with obvious enhancements to aerodynamics, weight reduction and power. The former is achieved with its dramatic centrally-split rear wing, massive front splitter, side skirts and diffusers. To cope with the extreme ascension, power has been increased to 500 horsepower and is fed into the midship engine via its roof-mounted inlet. Weight reduction comes in at just under 950 kg (approximately 2095 lbs).⁠

The Alpine A110 Pikes Peak is undergoing testing now to prepare for its June 25 race in Colorado Springs, CO.⁠

Break out the PS2: someone hacked ‘Gran Turismo 4’ and found cheat codes… 18 years after it released.

According to , a game modder named Nenkai on Twitter unearthed the cheats while data mining the now-classic racing game. Using emulation software, Nenkai found the inputs that allow for a range of unlocks, from millions of free credits to automatic gold passes for the license tests.

For the commands to work however, the player needs to advance 365 in-game days, but this can be achieved with simple “day forward” tricks, like modding the car, entering and exiting tests and more.

If you were a hardcore ‘GT4’ fan, you’ll remember how difficult some of those license tests could be, or how expensive those LM race cars were to purchase. Now, the sky’s the limit.

Luxury metaverse carmaker has collaborated with for the Raven GTR.⁠

The project marks the beginning of OEMs like Sabelt entering the metaverse, resulting in the creation of a limited collaborative NFT. Sabelt has thus developed a 'Best weight' seat for the Raven, one that weighs less than 10kg while maintaining the safety standards required for regulations and standards. To achieve this, a tubular structure of visible carbon was used.⁠
⁠
As for the GTR, its power and specifications mimic the Raven GT released last year: 789 horsepower and a 0-100kmph in 3.9 seconds. The GTR converts the design into a roadster, chopping the roof off while also receiving exterior refreshes at the headlights, front and rear bumpers, with GTR designations and more.⁠

has unveiled this triple collaboration 928 with contemporary artist and automotive designer . The result is jaw-dropping.⁠

Nicknamed "NEBULA" for obvious reasons, the purple-hued classic 1978 FR (front-engined, rear-wheel drive) Porsche receives a Y2K-inspired makeover. ⁠
⁠
With the help of Kyza, the front and rear bumper design is reimagined to give a retro-futuristic aesthetic, with Arsham's signature "Double A" insignia showing through the car's front lamps. Arsham's key designs are also applied to the wheels, forming an old school three-spoke design. ⁠

Interior-wise, a slathering of purple brings the Nebula theme inside, along with an aluminum contrasting steering wheel and shift k**b, ultra-suede, leather, and custom fabric made with fabric. ⁠

The NEBULA 928 by Porsche, Daniel Arsham and Kyza is on display now at the Porsche X space at SXSW in Austin, Texas.⁠

After an exclusive preview, we now have official images of the x Toyota collaboration Aygo X.⁠
⁠
UNDERCOVER founder has remarked on the project and its design, stating it pulls from cityscape colors which are "blending in with everyday life but questioning convention if you look below the surface." As such, the Aygo X collaboration has resulted in an exclusive two-tone body color, matching different tones of grey from front to rear. Coral Red accents are also found along the body that coincide with the car's tail lights. Bespoke to the car as well are "CHAOS" "BALANCE" mantras affixed to the roof, while the interior is dressed with co-branded logos at the seats and UNDERCOVER monogram-patterned floor mats. Best of all, a manual transmission option is available for the 5,000 limited units.⁠

The UNDERCOVER x Toyota Aygo X is slated for the UK market in May for £20,095 GBP, or roughly $27,800 USD.⁠

Conceptual automotive artist continued his journey through Japan and had amazing experiences, both within the auto industry as well as just soaking in Japanese culture.⁠

Up next were a few car meets, such as the 'Secret Underground Meet' and the Umihotaru Parking Area meet in Chiba. Kyza met with some fans of his and explored what JDM culture truly is, outside of what you may or may not have seen in pop culture. ⁠
⁠
Beyond cars, Kyza took time to unwind with his photographer Charlie Brenninkmeijer to discover what's inside Tokyo side-street driveways, weeb-haven shop Mandarake, local arcades and much more.⁠
⁠
In the end, Kyza was inspired by Japan's colors and textures, and hopes to incorporate them into his future design work.⁠

Automotive designer recently made his very first trip to Japan, and worked with us to showcase his personal photo diary.⁠
⁠
The conceptual artist has stated to Hypebeast Car Club that Japan has been a huge inspiration for his designs and work, so naturally we were keen to look into what piques his interest. ⁠
⁠
Kyza's first stop was the private Nissan Heritage Collection, located in Zama, Kanagawa. The private tour included a walkthrough of the JGTC racers as well as some of the rarest Nissan builds all under one roof. ⁠
⁠
Tokyo Auto Salon of course was part of the trip as well, as Kyza scoured the annual event for the latest in JDM car developments, new releases like the 2024 Nissan GT-R and more. ⁠
