OOPS! Pictures of Joe Biden with Chinese business contacts of his son Hunter are being shared – despite the fact that the US President has repeatedly told the press that he never met them.

"It’s just a bunch of lies,” Biden said in December last year.

“You didn’t interact with any of their business associates?” the journalist pressed.

“I did not. They’re lies,” he repeated.

Those statements are problematic (to say the least) now – after freedom of information advocates forced the US National Archive to open their files and found these images.

Hunter Biden cofounded a Chinese investment fund called BHR Partners with a man named Jonathan Li as CEO.

Biden has consistently said he didn't know Jonathan Li – but records show that he wrote college recommendation letters for Li’s son and daughter.

Records have been released showing Hunter Biden and his business partners received US$27 million in payments from foreign sources from 2014 to 2019.


'REPEATEDLY LIED'
Groups now have "overwhelming evidence that the President has repeatedly lied about his interactions with foreign clients", said law professor Jonathan Turley of George Washington University in an essay on 27 December.
