Assembly Election Results 2023 Live Updates: "People have shown their mandate. Updates: The election results trends in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana have come as a major shocker for political pundits as well as parties. After its 18-year-long stint, the BJP is ready for another term in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. Congress, the grand-old-party gained majority vote in Telangana.

The state assembly election results of these four states are considered as a crucial semi-final before the impending general elections in less than six months.

What did exit polls predict and what happened?
Exit polls presented varied predictions for Assembly Election results 2023, with some favouring the BJP in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, while others suggest an advantage for the Congress in Telangana and Chhattisgarh. However, as the results on Sunday revealed that BJP formed majority government in three states except for Telangana where Congress gained majority vote.
The Congress, currently in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh lost in all 3 states to BJP. In Telangana, the K Chandrashekhar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) lost to Congress.
Starting with postal ballots, commenced at 8 am amid tight security for 40 seats in Mizoram. A three-tier security arrangement has been put in place and only people holding valid passes will be allowed to enter the counting centres, election officials said.
The Assembly Elections 2023 for all five states - Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, and Telangana - came to an end on November 30.
