An Ume flower blooms,
Entering a new chapter,
A new life begins.

Mimiko's misedashi, 17th December 2021 3 pm SLT.

Misedashi is a ceremony and celebration celebrated in Kyoto Japan ever since the 1800s until today when a minarai (trainee geisha) becomes maiko (junior geisha). Misedashi is a special event anticipated by the town as it is a very rare occasion. In RL it would attract the local press, media, and townspeople. And they would flock the street to see the new maiko.

Traditionally after the ritual, the new maiko would serve in her first ozashiki (banquet) as maiko. Usually, she would also perform her first dance as maiko in front of the guests.
